A little project I've been meaning to do for a while, since I saw it in Jafro's videos. Just works so nice, I want one!

[Linked Image]

So after about 2 hours of working on it tonight I've got this much done.

Gotta love the tig smile

So it's pretty much done, still need to visit the dollar store to pick up a couple cheep cutting boards. Also going to add a locking bar for when installing. As for removing the springs, works extremely well and fast!

Oh don't worry, I think I'm going to coat it some stupidly obnoxious color, just because.

Here's a little operation video, works perfectly, takes seconds to remove a valve spring. Of course it's a little tricky to do one handed while holding a camera.

Pretty much completed now, other than some color.

Added a piece of Lexan for the head to sit on and a locking bar.

Seriously badass, but I am anxiously awaiting the bright magenta/neon puke green finish you're going to put on this thing!

That shouldn't be too hard, and would definitely be slick!

Just need to run bars down the middle of it that bolt to where the cam caps are

Well, there's already that tool, euro export or whoever it is that makes it, so not sure how you could work off of that, but it is pretty annoying to use.

FYI
I made one up quickly that did that.
you will need longer cam cap bolts. I think it was just a little thicker than 1/8 plate, and I ended up pulling some thread out of the head trying to mount it, and when trying to compress the spring.

Stock.

My mind is already rolling on this, not that I need it but more of an excuse to make things with the tig.

Realistically I just don't have time to do any sort of production of these. Between a 40+ hour a week job, owning a home, powder coating, working on the heap and doing my custom spark plug covers, time is very limited.

I might make another one or two, improving on a couple little details I discovered on this one(nothing that affects the way it works but to simplify construction).
