Hey guys I'm looking for a engine for my friend. He has a 1gb talon fwd. He just blew the piston rings on his n/t motor after adding a turbo to it. He is now wants to do it right and is looking for a 4g63t motor. Let me know what you guys got and how much.
Thanks,
Dave.

Its interesting how Dave managed to keep his boosted 420A alive but his friend couldn't wink

1g was a non turbo 4g63.
Dave why doesn't he just build it?

Yeah but by the time you've bought rods, pistons, bearings, etc...you could have another AWD 1gb.

fixed, it obviously depends on what his end goal is.

I should add that I am not disagree with you, I am just purely looking at it from a cost perspective. If he has an extra 3 than he can do the awd with the built engine.

The body on his 1ga is in great shape. He bought the car off someone that hasn't driven the car for a while and stored inside and picked it up for dirt cheap. Pretty much next to nothing. So he would rather keep the body and put in a turbo motor in it.

And thanks Alex. I monitor my engine really well and make sure not to over boost my 420a. Its been boosted now for 10 years still on the original motor with 150,000km. Haven't driven it much though. But now got a spare motor that was built and its giving me problems frown

If need be, I have a 2G turbo engine for sale.
Comes with sensors, pumps, alt, intake, exhaust, and turbo.

I know they're different, but he might be able to Frankenstein something together. Let me know.

With the lack of place to bolt the mounts to on the 2g block it would get interesting.

Ah yes. The 1G mounts are far more practical then those of the 2G. Disregard.
