They (L19's) are just back in stock at ARP. I should have them by the weekend

Ive got a used set of A1's sitting here right beside me smile

the skirts on some of the nuts have been machined to clear double valve springs. The 4 valves in the center of the head typically have clearance issues between the spring seat and the headstud nuts. So this is an added bonus.

PM me if you want to discuss price, and pictures.

I'm in for L19's in place of my A1's ziggy.

Jason, did you just take the nuts to the bench grinder to get your clearance? Or is there a fancier option?

From my experience A1's come with tool steel nuts and washers that clear big springs(they are not as big as the regular ARP ones). You sure those are the original A1 nuts and washers? Sounds like regular ARP nuts and washers if they needed to be machined.

Yes, they are the nuts that came with them. They are bigger than standard ARP nuts.

My A1's are not like that. I bought them directly from Marco around the time he first started selling them. Same material nuts and washers and no machining of the hats required at all.

Thats weird man. I bought this set used, but Ive even talked to a few people that had to machine the nuts to clear dual spring seats. Are you running Dual springs Reza?

I believe you smile Myself and a few others who have bought them directly from Marco back in the days got them with tool steel washers and "thinner" nuts with barely any hats on them that needed to be machined. I guess with the tool steel material they did not need to make nuts with hats soo big that they needed to be grinded down with bigger springs.

I am guessing they must of changed the design at some point.

Hope they get there! Last time I ordered from Magnus, they were "en route" for about 3 months before I cancelled the order.
