Hey,

I have a FWD transmission from a 1990 TSI parts car. Was running when pulled I was told, but I have personally never ran this transmission. Has under 200,000 km on it, looks to be original.

Open to offers, would just like it gone to free up space in the garage.

I will get the transmission code off of it this evening. but should be a F5M33 I believe?

Regardless, this is the same transmission that I removed from the car and packaged for shipping for you Jason. If you still want it then let me know, otherwise its first come first served.

This is a 1990 transmission...

Anyone know the sure fire way to ensure this is a 1990, other than the code, which the last letter "S" already denotes the 1989-90 model year?

From my experience with colts/Mirages, it's popular to swap the factory KM210 turbo tranny to the T/E/L F5M33 tranny. It's been done and proven that the F5M33 tranny from 90-92 will work in the colts, meaning they are all 25 spline and same size entry for the axle, so long as it's a F5M33 tranny, it should be fine. To install in the colts, we need to change the shift lever, other than that, it's drop in. 92 up has a different diff and is 27 spline. hope this helps.

That was very helpful Jim, that sort of reinforced what I thought about the FWD transmission.
