Hey guys,

Came across this on massdrop.com, and thought I'd share.

Not sure if it's a good deal or not, but in case it is, here you go.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dei-010127 is cheaper (same 2"x50' roll) but doesn't look like it comes with the metal ties and the special tool for them. The ties and tool are another $21 or so which means the Massdrop price is better, especially if they get more people to purchase it and the price goes down to $50.

Is there not a local place that you can get this from? I think wrap and ties are enough, I think needle nose pliers is the only tool you really need for something like this.

Apparently most people say that pliers don't work well for this application and that the tool is significantly more effective and less frustrating to use. For the $8 or $9 the tool costs it's not bad to have.

Fair enough, good to know if I ever have to do wrapping again.

Looks like the RTM price is about $3.USD more than at Summit, but it is in Canada. I am going to suggest he start to carry the tool also.

I tried pliers... it sucked. the ties are razer sharp, and the clasps rip if the tie isnt pulled perfectly even.

Ive people use hose clamps on the runners and steel cable around the collectors.

My down pipe use done withh hose clamps, if I keep the wrap on my header, I may switch to the clamps and cable.
