Looking for this for R&D. Doesn't matter if it leaks, we will be cutting it open. We are planning another run of our pump hanger unit, and want to do a total re-design, so need this for R&D.
Let me know what you have and what you want for it....

Ziggy

Would be cool if you could design it to fit two walbro 450/525 pumps.

I think I was the first person in 1g DSM land to stuff two 525's into the stock tank. Cheapest 1000+ HP setup as proven in my car smile

I'm finally installing my Magnus mechanical for next year, so ditching that setup.

I might have a tank for you, but won't be available till spring.

Fitting two of the "large head" style Walbro pumps is one of our two major goals with the re-design. The other is to incorporate a return line right into our unit instead of keeping the separate return line on the tank.

When you put two 525's in your tank..did you just strap them to the stock hanger?

I am HOPING to find a tank sooner, as we are pretty much ready to start on these, but I think I can re-design the top and start on those. I won't be able to do a new "upright/pump support" until I have a tank, but if we don't have one by spring, I will likely take you up on that.

Yes I used the stock hanger, and literally just the float remains. I cut the bracket out in the middle completely, and the only way I could stuff two pumps in the tank was to keep one of them about one inch higher than the other. If you put both side by side, they just cant fit through the opening. Maybe you might figure out a way around this.

Since it's just a drag car, I always run with at least 1/8th level fuel in the tank so that the pump that sits higher still picks up fuel. Haven't ran into a single issue for the last 2+ years running it like this. I am doing a fuel cell setup in my talon now, probably won't be done till January. I can lend you the tank from the talon as it is literally like new, though would need it retuned at some point smile

Thanks, but we really need to see where / how the pumps are sitting in the tank, so we want to cut a hole in the side of it. we are hoping to find a leaking tank or one that is being scrapped for some reason...

Whatever we end up with has to be suitable for a street car, so I would have concerns about one pump sitting higher. I assume that it would not be acceptable for one pump to suck air if someone let their tank get too low..
