I don't know if this is possible, and I probably wouldn't think it was but I know you can swap out the intake cam off of a GSXR 750 and use it as the exhaust cam on a GSXR 1000 as an upgrade.

I am wondering since the motors are basically the same design(DOHC I4) that it might be possible on a DSM? Looking at getting a 272 regrind but it's for the intake, where I would rather have a 272 exhaust cam. Are they the same when swapped around or will the lobe seperation be way out of whack?

I suppose this question could be easily answered by anyone here who regrinds cams as they would be familiar with the differences.

Their not the same you could actually do it but I beileve you need to run it out of phase else your exhaust vales would open at the same time as your intake valves. I know I read a page one time saying you could run a NT intake cam in the exhaust cam position but you had to run it 6 teeth advanced or retarded I can't remember really but it was a good upgrade...
