Ok, Here it goes,
My car has been running like sh!t since I baught it 6 weeks ago

I have been messing around with ALOT of stuff.

Anyways, It was running on two cylinders for the longest time.

I read a thread about a guy with similar problems and he just had a bad set of wires, so since I had 7 total wires lying around I changed cylinders 1 and 4.

Now I'm running on 3 cylinders. BUT cylinder 4 still won't fire.

When I unplug my wire from cylinder 4 it starts ticking LOUD. And the idle doesn't change.

When I pull any of the other three wires, the car almost dies, but NO TICKING.

Anyone have any ideas where to start?

Try checking the injectors.

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

I know the injectors are good, just got new ones.
As for checking for leaks around the intake area, use the old propane torch trick?

FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME, DO A BOOST LEAK TEST.
You'll be able to hear the leak if you do one.

I don't think it's the intake IC pipes if it's only one cylinder. I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. Take the ECU out and take a sniff of the prong end of the unit. If she stinks of fish, she's leaking from the caps and killing your board.

He has my coilpack to try to, and the wires I gave him were working before I gave them to him.

I've been after him for a month to do a IC test to atleast start taking care of one problem at a time. He doesn't listen, just asks more questions... bird

Shake your head Gavin and don't be so lazy. One problem at a time.

I already checked and fixed my ic,
I ripped it out two weeks ago, ran gas through it 5 times til it came out gas color again, and cleaned up the inlet/outlet and jbwelded the sh!t outa the one end due to the swiss cheese look it had.

So you cleaned your IC? But did you do a leak test?

Gavin,

Build the IC tester bring the car by and use my compressor we'll figure it out. I have lots of parts to swap with and have you verified that ECU is 100% good? I know last time we spoke you hadn't done it yet.

You're welcome to use my compressor as well, but just like Tim said, I'm not going to verify everything that has been asked here for you. You need to do your homework first.

Likely oil getting to the lifters. Mine does the same thing.

I have nate's leak tester.
But I can't drive my car, no plates.
But maybe I'll just steal em from the other car, and avoid cops.
And ya Tim ECU is good.
But at the same time my clutch has started to act up a bit now. frown I can't seem to win.

How do you know that the clutch is acting up if you can't drive it?

The last time I drove it, the coder pin broke off one of the cable's.
So I put another one on.
And it's hard to get into gear as well.
If you listen, even with the car in neutral, when you press the clutch, you can hear a scraping kind of sound, but it's quiet, you have to really listen to hear it.

So what is it exactly that you want help with then? Cleaning an IC and pulling wires isn't going to do anything.

Well if I knew which hose I was to block off for my boost leak test, I would do that, I have a compressor, and nate's fitting for my turbo, but the air keeps coming out somewhere. Lol
But I believe that it's coming out the return lines, not actually leaking.
But I don't know.
I know my ecu is good.
The wires are good.
The coil pack is good. (tried nates today)
Car is running better, but still not the way it should.
