Can someone either tell me where to find general torque settings for this motor (4g63 engine in a Talon) or maybe someone knows them ? Have the manual on order, but not got it yet.

Specifically looking for Tightening torques for Oil drain & refill plugs for Manual g/box & transfer case. In Ft-lbs if possible ! Decided to put in the R/Line MT90, after some research on the subject.

TIA & Regards, Steve W

Oil drain is 26-32, manual transaxle drain/fill is 20, transfer case drain/fill is 22-25, and the rear diff drain/fill is 40 according to Hyanes repair manual 1990-94 and this is in Ft-lbs.

Thanks, much appreciated. Is that a G1 motor? I'm thinking the G2 motor (I have a 97) would be the same.

Could/should be the same, but those torque values are for a 1Gen 90-94, I have never used a torque wrench for any drain/fill plug on any of my cars, just the one grunt rule wink .
