Okay. Don't close this one. We should have a *short* discussion on it.

To summarize. I have noticed that Andy's been a bit 'short' lately. But I find this more humourous than anything else. Too many people take things said on here *too* seriously. Andrew apologizes for being condescending, arrogant, and insulting. I *am* these things, but only when I have to be. It may hurt, but alot of people *need* that treatment sometimes. Besides, most of you know enough that if we were standing face-to-face, you wouldn't take so much offense, as there'd be more discussion and understanding. Not to take 'fun' away from it, but some of you have to grow up. (Not Bob, though. His childishness if all he has to offer. (: ) (See? I can say that because he knows me. If it was Tommy, stand back... (: )

Everyone goes up and down, and I *always* look forward to Andrew's comments, as they're always informed, intelligent, and to the point. If they're biased sometimes, that's his right. I always refer to Todd Day as my reference on this, and he's never held back from expressing his views and 'pulling the reins' on certain out-of-hand discussions. But his judgement is usually spot-on, even when some are 'charged up' enough not to see it. Andrew pretty much follows this lead, as far as I can tell.

A lot of people don't bother to organize things because they're usually not allowed to participate. That's why our Clubs are so unique, and any Honda ones that try to develop are usually doomed to mediocrity or failure. Noone wants to bother.

That's the objective view. Otherwise,
Tommy, all Hyundai's suck!
Torrey, your punk ass shouldn't be allowed to drive!
Keith, that paintjob blows! It can't even decided which colour it is!

You know that's said in jest, but even if it wasn't, are we that insecure of the little bit of truth that we let ourselves believe in those statements that we have to lash out? You never see me doing it, because I just don't care about any of you, and wish you would die. (:

"Now, in honour of this glorious occasion...We're havin' ribs." -Patrick Stewart

I agree with Troy on this one. 99% of the comments made on this board are light-hearted and aren't meant to hurt anyone's feelings. I know alot of comments can be taken the wrong way when you don't know a person and don't have a feel for their personality. Once you've been on this board for awhile you get an idea of who is a jerk, and who is just playing the role. Most of the guys on here are playing [Linked Image]
And maybe to make it easier on the new guys, throw up a smiley face after you cut 'em down so they know it's all just in good fun.
Example: Troy, your smileys suck! They're bass ackwards [Linked Image]

Yeah, "talking sh!t" is always fun, because we're all(most) just joking around, yankin your balls! It's not like we're going to really kill you or rape your mother! [Linked Image]
Take it easy guys, especially the 30+ crowd who don't like any immature sh!t from any of us younger kids.
We're mature enough to see that we're just "playin".

Apologize? For what???

I don't understand why Andrew (or any of the other moderators) has to act any different than the rest of us.

Andrew I don't think you should have to apologize for something you say on this board? You should be able to say what ever you want like the rest of us. This is a free board not a business, you're not making any money off of it so you should be able to act like a regular member and speak your mind like the rest of the regular members, without worrying about hurting someone's feelings. You should be able to respond as Andrew the ubb member not Andrew the ubb moderator.

I don't know Thomas or Torrey but like Keith said if Andrew saw something that everyone else missed he should know about it. Every inch of car has to be perfect especially since a couple of "masking spots" could mean 2nd or 3rd place instead of 1st (there's pretty good money in the show scene).

And for the guy with the Hyundai. Some people on are had core Eagle Talon lovers "if it's not a talon I don't want to hear about it", some are 4g63 lovers "if it's got a 4g63 in it I want to hear about it", and some are just tuned car lovers "if it goes fast I want to hear about it" I am probaly the later. I think it's a pretty good accomplishment for Thomas to turn his Hyundai into what it is today.

Just my 2c

Now enugh on this subject someone please tell me where the dam Vehicle Speed sensor is and how do I fix it [Linked Image]

I agree with Troy on this 100%.

I actually sympathize with him when he posts sarcastic remarks about people postings in the wrong forum. It must be a bitch to move posts everyday.

We need big, bold, letters saying post in the proper forums on the main page.

Point taken, Tom... But my hands have taken over... I CAN'T STOP!!!! (:

Vince, reed switch 'inside' the speedometer.

Blake, I'm a backwards-type guy. Heck, I've rebuilt the bottom end of my engine, and still have a 14b and no boost control. (:

It's good to see we all agree on this, Andrew will be all teary-eyed and soft-hearted if he reads this... (:

Just trowing a little old military say; Don't be sorry it's a sign of weekness. LOL

Or this one is my favorite. You say it when they tell you that they are tired. Well, can't tell it to the new guys anymore... They might cry.

It's a case of mind over mather. I don't mind and you don't mather...

Very mean, is it???

Ghislain.
