For all those who weren't quite sure whether or not Mitsubishi would bring the Lancer over to North America. Well you questions have been answered. Last night I was watching TV, and a commercial came on, very similar to the new Eclipse commercial, the main difference was that it was for the Lancer. I was so excited to see that, and now I can't wait to see them cruis'n the streets .

What station was it on? I've seen some ads for them over the last couple months but it was just the base model. I'll get excited when I see an ad for the Evo flying around some sharp corners drifting and lighting up all four tires with Crystal Method's "Busy Child" cranking in the background! (and on a Canadian station)

The ads they have been running are for the Lancer OZ Rally which is already for sale - and have been on US affiliate stations. Are you sure it was the EVO VII?

Have you checked www.mitsucars.ca lately? There are dates now did they mention those before? Still nothin offical with the EVO VII but my guess is next spring after they settle in and decide to bump the WRX of the map in the car buying season.



I wonder if the parts prices will drop and SATAN options improve after they arrive?

Guys... a Lancer, is NOT an EVO 7.

Just so you are clear...

The Lancer is a production economy car, coming from the same factory that happens to have produced our cars, in Normal, IL.

However, it is not at all related to the Lancer EVO VII, except in the old borrowed name. The car ads you're seeing on the US TV, are for the Lancer economy car.
