Well, I guess the neibourhood I live in is as bad as I thought. Came out to my car this morning (which is in underground parking at the building I live in), started it up and noticed it was loud as hell. Shut it off and opened the hood to see what was amiss. Everything seemed fine. Started it up again. Same thing. Looked to see if my manifold had cracked or something. No. Everything looks okay. Well, maybe there's a leak at one of the flanges of my exhaust. Stick my head underneath, and BINGO, no exhaust. Ah-ha, no wonder it sounds really loud! My downpipe and catcon are still intact, but my beautiful Buschur Racing 2.5" SS Catback is nowhere to be found. Still a bunch of the nuts and bolts that fastened the various flanges and hangers laying under the car. Well, I'll give the theives some points for neatness.
I'm guessing it's some Honda type who liked my nice shiny muffler with 4" tip, and forgot to bring his hacksaw, so he just unbolted the whole mother. Just what the world needs, another Honda punk with a 4" tip (as the entire extent of his mods). I was always planning on getting that tip replaced with a 3"er, but I never got around to it. Maybe God's sending me a message to end my procrastinating ways.
That BR catback was really a beautiful piece. Just put the thing on this spring. All the bolts didn't even get a chance to rust yet (although they were stainless). Ah well, I've still got my Buschur downpipe and hiflow cat, so it could be worse I guess.
Thanks for listening guys, just needed a shoulder to cry on.

Sorry to hear about that Turn the stereo up, specially the base, so you sound more like a Honda rather than a disembowled DSM and the cops won't bother you until you get it replaced. Good luck Cheers Tony

thats bull sh!t.
I can't believe they had the balls to steal an entire exhaust system. They probably just wanted the muffler. It must be someoen in the building..i doubt they would be able to do it without a jack or 2.
I got 4 tires/wheels stolen off my parts car a few months ago too. Just came to the shop and saw the car sitting on bricks.

Ouch sorry to hear.
Do you live in an apt? The undergrounds are notorious for having cars broken into. My Talon is parked outside for that very reason, seems my neighbours agree, if you look at the cars parked outside there's a BMW and an RSX outside as well.
I have a spot in the garage as well that I use to park my other cars and the car (a CRX) next to one of mine was broken into quite severly. They smashed the rear window, took the wheels (car is on blocks) and tore apart the interior.
It is quite possible that it was someone you see everyday/lives nearby.

Well at a maximum 1/2 inch lower. 3 - 2.5 is .5. If can you strap it higher without touching the underbody for noise, heat reasons etc. maybe less. If you go with the modified flange and the same hangers then the diameter difference divided by 2 means a quarter inch lower.
Don't forget that the suspension will compress with anything or anyone else you put in the car including yourself.
Midas makes pipes etc. they may be able to help with the flange adapter. Draw an idea for them. Maybe a 10 to 15 degree off center out to give you the height?
Not much but I hope it get's you thinking.
Cheers Tony

Paul, that sucks man. Judging by your signature your car is lowered. I hope the guy had a jack with him. These thieves aren't always to bright and may forget one. I remember what a pain it was to hook my lower IC pipe back up on the side of the 401 one night under my lowered car.

Hey Paul, Where about's in Hamilton was this? I'll keep an eye out for it or see if I hear anything about it, I know alot of people at the "tuner" shops in Hamilton, so I'll ask them to keep an ear out too. Sorry to hear about that man.

Man I have the same turbo back, really a nice piece, well I didn't steal it but I can't blame someone for wanting one, it's beautiful...
It's not a Talon, it's a Talonol... And now it's in the garage with a connecting rod sticking out...

Paul;
Didn't pick up this thread until now. Really sorry to hear that. That pipe is truely beautiful and sounded amazing too. Something I always wanted. (No, I am not the one stole it).
The car is lowered, I even had problem went down to look at it. Wonder how they can reach it without a jack.
Incidentally, I just got a 2.5" inlet 4" tip stainless muffler (No, it is not a BR, how I wish). Now you got me worry.

Paul, really sorry to hear! That really sucks!! If I can help in any way...though not sure how...If you guys really do want some parts engraved (just by hand, with your name or an ID number or something) I can do that for you no charge! Also, if this flange piece is something that needs to be machined, If you show me what you need, I will do that at no charge also(unless I have to buy material..then you can supply that)....I hate thieves as well!!
