Piece of cake as long as you get a 1G TB with the 4 vacuum lines on top. Its a direct bolt on. You might want to port out the intake plenum entry to 60mm (its normally 52mm) so as to match the 1G TB opening.

How do you port the intake plenum??? Can you do it with a Dremel tool? and simply grind away till it looks smooth, and 60mm???

I did mine with air tools. I would imagine that you'd need a lot of patience if you want to do it using a dremmel.
I didn't see much improvement with this mod. It did, however, made the car more responsive.

Yo. I used a dremel to do some porting (Aluminium) and it's fine if your are not in a hurry... You could get a 1/8" carbide burr to speed up the process. High speed cutter ain't that bad either. Tim is going to put a 60mm TB on his 1991 Talon NT. His car came with a 52mm. Mine is a 1991 Laser and came with the 60mm TB... Pic can be viewed on this disscution; http://www.ca.dsm.org/non-cgi/Forum20/HTML/000019.html We have not removed the 52mm TB yet but I guess we'll need to do some fine carving... Dremell will be the tool of the day has we don't have a dye grinder. I know these TB are NT's. Is there much difference between the T model TB and the NT TB aside the extra vacuum line??? Ghislain.
