ahh I've been smelling this horrible gas smell in my car for about a month now. I haven’t did anything about it because I figured it was something to do with the throttle body which is suppose to be being replaced soon because my car is also been revving at 3 grand(for about 3 months now).

I finally decided to go look for the leaking gas today ...And one of the fuel injectors(?) is leaking gas everywhere. It looks like a waterfall running down all the back of the block, and whatever else is back there. Its making it down onto the exhaust too. Its leaking really bad. This is not good..

What is going on here? What needs to be done? Does this have anything to do with the TB?

I was wondering why I was only getting 40 km to 16 bucks of regular shuffle ...non turbo btw
help

Leaky injector seal? Throttle body no. Oh by the way visible leaking gas on extremely hot engine parts equals engine fire bomb

The injector seals eh. Are those the little piece of rubber inside the injecrors?
Would this gas problem be making the car rev high?? Or is that still another problem?

Your idle prob is most likely what I told you before. I'll bet my paycheck its the FIAV stuck open.

Injector seal replacement is a relitively easy fix.

I cant beleive no one in your area has helped you with the Laser since you had these probs starting in the summer.

I replied to your e-mail, get back to me.

Yeah what Rob said on the idle but why would you have to replace the throttle body? Just sounds like you should pull it off and clean it + ISC +EGR + intake and MCCC while you are at it. Check throttle body shafts seals et al slap it back together and you are ready to roll. The injector seals are pretty easy to fix and having a gas leak in the engine compartment is something you need to fix asap spy

Replacing the injector O-ring is really easy. If you needed some advice on how to replace it drop me a PM or email or I can post in this thread and general guide for you.

Like everyone else has suggested, do NOT drive the car.

Hot engine + gas = eek

Be sure to tell your dads friend not to screw with the biss screw, its not your idle prob, but glad to hear it will be not leaking gas any more. That long trip home could have been hazardous! Your lucky girly!
