Ok, this is p***ing me off. My car 95 Eagle Talon is overheating (343 500 K anyone top that). The fans have stopped working altogether. I've changed the thermostat this weekend still the fans won't come on. In my Chilton's manual, I've done the test for the fan and it works like a charm. Any Ideas? Isn't there supposed to be a sensor for the fans, I've looked and there is none. I've traced the wire that plugs into the fan along the bottom of the radiator and leads to two plugs just right of the horn...which is rusted to hell.

Took it to KW Mitsubishi, the quoted me a new Left front cooling fan. ( I think that's for the AC) T
hermostat (which I did myself)
Coolant sensor at thermostat(which I believe doesn't control the fans) and part # MO4671065 which I'm not sure what it is only costs $23.71, his handwriting is not legible.

HELP!!

Thanks,

Neil

There is a sensor in your radiator which operates the fan.

//edit
I realize now that you have a 2G, to which this may or may not apply.

I've looked on the radiator, but could not find the sensor which is shown in the diagram listed in the chilton manual on 3-31.

Hey Guys, thanks for the quick replies. Ya I don't think I have the sensor on the rad, what else would control the rad fans? Doesn't seem to say much in the manual.

edit/ Hey Jeph, how would I do that?

Thanks,

If the fans work when you hard wire it to the battery but not 'normally' it might be a good idea to check your rad fuse.
