Whats the problem? just too big of a job for you?

a couple things:

-have you done the timing belts + waterpump on the JDM?
-changed the oil pressure housing to USDM to install the stupid pressure gauge sender
-I assume the oil presure housing is for external cooler as with most jdm, do you have the lines and cooler?
-exhaust downpipe from a fwd?
-going with turbo tranny I assume you have the turbo fwd flywheel?
-you don't need to swap the harness, you seriously need 2 wires to the ecu and the resiestor pack.(you'll need a couple harness side ecu pins tho)

whats the state of the car at right now? original engine out? in?

DO NOT swap harnesses. Just like Scott says its a HUGE time waster and is completely not needed.

Arron,
You must have right tools.
If you never done anything on your DSM then you must ask someone to do it for you.
Car jacks can not being used.
You need jack and stands.
There are some members in your area, ask them to help you.
Rob is also in your area you can ask him if you are missing something.
You better hurry if you want to put that car on the road.

No, If you have never done anything on your DSM, you must LEARN! Or, ditch and never look back... right now at this point in time.
If your ready to cross the line of sanity go to CT buy a jack and stands set... Get that pigs nose up in the air. Buy a 200ish? Piece wratchet set, and put some money aside for the occasional "Oh I really could use a X tool" Proceed to start wrenching... After a while things will find their way onto your garage floor. KEEP YOUR sh!t ORGANIZED... IMPORTANT!
I'm assuming you have all the necessary parts so remember how all that junk came out of its home, do your best to get it all back in there. Buy a haynes manual, and some fast orange and get er done!

i was planning on doing the tbelt and waterpump in the process,
the oil pressure housing is news to me never heard anything about that before.
i still need to pick up the downpipe.
i do have the fwd turbo flywheel.
the motor is all disconnected the only thing i hafta do is get the drivshafts out so i can pull the motor.
the harness i have in there is pretty hacked up right now.(it was when i got it, never knew why..)
hey scott do you have any free time.(your sig shows you have done this swap)

i will pay to have it done for me.
thanks,aaron

Becareful JDM flywheels are different than N.A. ones. Basically they are a different design and you can only use a JDM clutch on them.

Make sure you have a North American FLYWHEEL, and machine it too tongue

-well you should get the waterpump and timing belts and a repair manual do the maintence stuff before you ever get the motor in (it's way easier now)
-oil pressure housing (if you want to use the stock oil presure gauge), the gasket for the housing,
-cooler and lines. (or run a non-turbo oil presure housing until you can find the parts)(but don't plan on doing any racing or hard driving)

I know i said before that you DO NOT need to remove the axel shafts to remove the engine or transmission. simply pop the ball joints and pop out the cv shafts.

you can find jackstands cheap at princess auto

I am going to windsor tomorrow, and i'll be staying in waterloo on monday til I'm not sure. after that I might be able to see if I have some time.
