I was behind one at the lights (3 lanes). He takes off, with me on his ass. I move over to to left next to him as I got WOT in 2nd. I got some wheel spin as I was pulling up right next to him. Got into 3rd, while the BOV goes off into his open window. I just kept on pulling away. It almost seemed to easy. And, I got no knock at all, through out all gears

They run low 14s, and most drivers at least around here are yuppies to the max, who would probably drive a 350z to a mid 14 at best. Nice kill none the less, I enjoy walking $50,000 sports car in my bucket to.

A buddy of mine at work just picked one up and we had a go.
It was a 80-180km/h roll on starting in third. Pulled 2 cars on him in third and another in fourth running 14psi.
They are definitely nice cars, but really aren't that fast, especially compared to alot of cars out there.

I am running 15psi on the good ol' 14b, with 280k on the original engine. I also expected a lot more from it, like I said, it almost seemed to easy to pull on him like that. It's time to turn up the boost a little.

I find that 995 of 350z owners are yuppies or old men in a mid life crisis, you think they know how to drag race properly, I doubt it.

As Nigel said a lot of these guys are older guys that can afford them. Most arent even broken in, still under warranty and arent modified because of same and relatively new aftermarket. Aftermarket tuners had a tough time cracking the performance nut on these due to OBD and found that standard mods actually hurt performance. Last summer I had no problem with a 350Z on the highway until we approached 200k and he walked away from me. A young guy in a modified black one chirped the tires through 4th as his exhaust howled and laid absolute waste to 300Z on the weekend when I was out cruising. So stock for stock you are in the ballpark but if you run up against a kid with the cash to modify one of these puppies you may get embarassed...plus these are more of a road course machine than a drag car. The 350Z is the only interesting choice for me other than the G35 twin right now.
Every day I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive.

Modified, they maybe quick. Stock, they are pretty slow. I ran into another one the other day. They guy was weaving in and out of traffic. I just stayed put until we both stopped at a red light, with me behind him. Light turns greeen he takes off slowly, and punches it in 2nd. I had no problems catching up and started passing him in the next lane. All that with like 20 counts of knock.
