Well, I was driving up the 400 to my parents place, and up comes behind me, while im crusing at about 130, a blue car. Thought it was a austin martin or something. He pulled up beside me, I opened the wastegate, and blew off the BOV a few times. That got his attention, and off we go. I hit the overtake booster, giving me 15psi(remeber, i have a nonturbo engine so 15psi is alot) I take him right away, all the way to 230, I had about 8 lengths on him by then. This is when he quit. I slowed down, He had a BIG smile on HIS face and gave me a thumbs up. I pulled in behind him, saw the Maserati badge on the back, pulled up beside him, with a HUGE smile on my face, and received another thumbs up, off we went again. Same thing, but stopped around 210. I looked up the car on their website, $242,000. AAAAAAHHHH, mine was $3500.
BUT if we had kept going, as in he not quite, I was a dead man, his supposedly goes up to 290kph.

whats wrong we the people in this club now?
Can you guys calm down? First off, if u bothered to read, my car is a 91 TURBO Laser, but u obvisouly didnt read that or the rest of my mods. 15 psi on a 16g with 9:1 compression IS alot. Ive put 20 psi on it with 116 octane, but yes, 94 with 20psi would blow it. Before u flame someone for beating a $242,000 car, try racing it yourself, or me for that matter. Ive ran a 13.6 on 10 psi. Think you could?

Nice kill Colins. Damn if I even posted the amount and kind of cars and bikes I've killed, there would be chaos here...... its happened before. I remember when everyone used to flame me cause I would post how I could kill M3's and M5's with my 14b, lol. "your car is only blah blah horsepower and that car is blah blah horsepower, there is no way you beat that" For all the non believers and bench racers go fix and tune your POS up and learn how to race, if not sell you DSM cause its fukin slow and it ain't for you.

**** I still remember when people here called me BS cause I would post that my 14b car was well capable of running 12's, and I just hadn't had a good pass down the track, when only just a hand full of people were doing it back in those days. Whats the 14b record now? Yep 11.2 at like 120 or something like that. Fukin nonbelievers, I'm gonna break into the 11's this year with just my sidemount and 16g....
Anyways good kill Colin.

I saw a blue Maserati on the 407 just west of the 400 this morning. Right car, right colour, right area. So it does lend a little more backup to the story. I also passed a guy towing a V2 rocket on the 407 this morning. I assume it was the Canadian Arrow team towing to a launch site, but I definitely did a bit of a double take.

Yes that was the car. Blue, Mid 40s driving it. Actually, I told the old man about it, he described the driver. He knows him and his father through business.
Nope, my motor is a stock non turbo engine. My car is a turbo car though. This is my 3rd engine. The non-turbo has been working great for 3 years. Havent dynoed it yet, guessing 300 ballpark. It hasnt been fully tuned yet, prob another 20 hiding in their as it runs rich still. The overtake booster ups the boost for a short time. I have mine set for 15 seconds, adding 5psi. You can make it so its always on, or I can turn off the profec and run 7psi. And no, my Delta gate has never leaked. If uve never tried electronic boost control, you dont know what your missing. Ill run at 10 psi, pulling good, hit the button, the engine changes pitch, and WHAM. The car wants more boost but Im scared to try more, as Im only using 450s.

did you add a knock sensor and an ecu from a turbo car?
What kind of timing advance do you get at that boost?. Just curious if you had to retard the base timing a little. That would help a lot for avoiding knock but it also kills a bit of power.

I know what u mean about electronic boost control. I have an old school HKS EVC and its nice to be able to change from like 12-16 psi while going WOT in 5th. The only thing about my EVC is it is inconsistent with the boost levels every other day. It goes up or down a few psi and I have to adjust it, although it only takes like a few seconds with the turn of the knob. I still feel like putting back in my manual boost controller, but I can't give up the in car adjustability.
