I don't know whats up with my car but...
whats a stock talon 92 tsi awd do from 0 to 100km

I have a friend that wants to bet $200 that he'll take me in his new cobalt ss which does 0 to 100 in 6.5.

I just need to know what a stock talon does

I'm running 16 g s but i'm only getting 17 psi grr

I think with a 16g you would be in the low to mid 5 sec 0- 60mph.

if you have 16g turbo and the supposting mods i would think you could kill him. dont get me wrong the cobalt ss is quick but not compared to a talong with a 16g

This statement is just scary... What would you prefer 25? You've got some learing to do about mods.

Put your two bones up for grabs and go for it. Otherwise you're just bench racing like it was already said above.

With my old setup, 14B @ 16psi with rewired pump and few things ported was getting 0-100km in 5.7sec ish on the turbo timer and thats with a FWD car. With that setup i also ran a best of 14.5@95mph.

With your mods and that turbo your 0-100 should be low 5sec and you should have no problem taking his doors. Thats if like the guys said good clutch and good driving.

Goodluck!

NO matter how good of a 16G you have 5 second 0-100 is not easy to get.

I know everyone thinks they own the driving business, but 5 seconds is a quick time.
And yes, it is possible for the Cobalt to take you but it is also possible for you to take Cobalt.

If the factory says 6.5s, chances are he can't do that.

I was always told that you can give a 10 second car to a newbie and he'll most likely do a 14+.

If you know your car like the back of your hand and have the right mods set up and you are confident in your skills and condition of your car parts...then do it, who knows you may earn your "braggin rights badge" cool

Well, if a stock TSi is rated for 195 HP at the crank, and the Cobalt is rated for 210?? at the crank, with a 16G and some good driving, you'll eat him. Superchargers only put out like max 8-9 psi and the engine isn't much bigger than the 4G63, so I don't think you'll have a problem. Go for it and good luck!!

shouldnt even be a contest, unless you break or fall asleep or something AND he has the race of his life.

Unless he is running some Nitrous, or some other serious mods.

and I am sure the fact that the cobalt is less than a year old and the Talon is 13 years old is of no significance!!

i agree with John Hartman. with Awd you should destroy him. I raced one of the guys on the board and his is awd with turboback exhaust system. And right off the start he put 3 or 4car lengths on me. Mines fwd, the colbalt is also fwd. depending on how far you guys are going to race you should beat him. fwd has the tendency to catch up in the long run. thats what happend with my race he destryoed me off the line and i got back up to him and tied him. but also mines automatic and i had more mods then him. But with the 16g i doubt he could even come back in the long run lol.

I think it should be an easy win as well. AWD out of the hole will destroy most cars. When my car was stock, I raced a new 02 Mustang GT in the 1/4. Off the line I had him by a good 3-4 car lengths, untill top of third gear, when he caught up and beat me by half a fender. If the race was shorter, he never would have had a chance.

and i wont have a plate in the back so i don't have to worry about the cam reading mine..lol
I"ll post it when i get it on the computer..should be good
he runns 15 psi and he's a great driver but i have a manifold and a 3 stage boost control and injectors going in this week so ..lol I"m going to play with him a bit .. aslong as i can get it all tuned before the weekend!

How old are you Carl, 13?

Because you sure type like your 13.

Also, you tuned your car down to 4.7 sec in 0-60? I doubt it, but good luck with the race.

Your flywheel is either 450lbs, your car weighs 1000lbs or your first gear maxes at 20K.

aside from these I don't think you have really driven an All Wheel Drive. Even with a worn out clutch that would almost stall.

I wasn't repsonding to you

and NO IT IS NOT That. i mean, don't try "sliping" into first gear when reving at 4500. Whatever slipping means, it is not going to happen at 4500RPM.

Slipping is when you have it in first gear, rev the engine and slowly release the clutch, while raming the gas, at a given paste to make sure the maximum power is put to the wheels while the engine stays at higher RPMs.
