stock numbers for the first gen tsi awd were 0-60 mph, 6.35 sec, and 14.66 at 92.4 mph. don't know, but they feel quiker then that and the japanese have a habit of toning down the numbers they hand out to the press

In fact if anything the typical crappy driver will see times worse than that.
What Japanese are you referring too, the ones who built the car in Illinois?

Racing on the Street is stupid.

Racing a Guy with a FWD is stupid when you have an AWD. If you know how to launch your car, you'd eat him alive.

This is no where near accurate but lets compare cars.

My Old TSI AWD makes somewhere around 300hp with the stock 14b and exhaust. Has 264cams, 550cc injectors, K&N, a SAFC and a MBC set at 18psi.

Runs 13.5s 1/4s. Match that up with an EVO8 that does the same 1/4 mile time and you get a sub 5.0s 0-100.

Only way to find out how fast your car really is, is to test it yourself at the track. You can have a 13s car and not know how to drive it and end up with a 15s 1/4mile.

300hp Talon to a 50hp Citroen. Lovely ain't it?
Back to another Mits.
A Mirage Cyborg as a future 4G63T candidate.

I logged a 4.1s 0-60 with my b16g a few years ago when running 15psi laugh

You just gotta launch it right. There has to be some slip somewhere, be it at the clutch or the tires. If your tires suck, they'll slip. If the tires stick, the cluch needs to slip.

Of course, if the clutch sucks, it'll slip in nicely even if you "dump it". With a stockish 1G AWD, it can work quite well to do that. Tires slip a little, cltuch slips a little, and it goes like hell. Once thing shave been changed, you gotta figure out your car.

Do us all a favor and stop talking about racing the guy and just race him. There is no way you are going to lose.

5500-6000rpm engage clutch say bye bye SS.

True, but with some structure in his posts it would make reading easier on the eyes. Also presenting the conversation in a more mature manner instead of acting like a kid in a candy store would be a benefit to him and us. I'm not saying you should be super serious, have no sense of humour or personality, but I don't see how being annoying can benefit anyone.

Also half a million LOL's etc = posting like a 13 year old.

At least he spelt his login (full name) with capitals. It's not even worth bitching about because none of these guys ever fix up their crap.

SOOOO, when do we hear about this race? I think the metal on top of your workbench has prolly worn down enough to actually fire the bi$%@ up and smoke that Chevy crap-bolts SS. It's you, or it's him, either way, someone's gotta win. You can fix your car later... beat the hell out of it and win that sucker!!!!!

We couldn't get out before the new year. He's got his car away for the winter. he just installed a new pulley system on his supercharger. He wouldn't tell me how much HP it added, just said I'd findout.
Well, he doesn't know that a just added a magnus intake manifold, 760 injectors, and a walbro 255 fuel pump. before summer I'm going to get my act 2600 in aswell.

sorry to get everyones hopes up. I'll get it on tape, as soon as we get some nice weather.
the SS pushes 12psi stock after its broken in. when i test drove one it would only push around 8psi (puke). There really quick though i went for a ride in it during the summer. Raced a 16g turboed MR2. had a talk with the guy after, he was running decent mods and he couldn't keep up with us on the highway.

sorry if my typing isn't the best.
PS lol,,, 13 thanks .. I'm just really into my car I was working on it today putting the intake in, in my drive way. (-2C freakin Cold)

Oh my god, I just found this thread now, and I'm actually feeling sick to my stomach now.

Who cares what pulley he put on his useless Cobalt, if he didn't change the injectors/fuel pump also, then it probably didn't add much power. And either way, he's still FWD, do those cars even have LSD for the front? (I don't think they do).

In anycase, I could have beat a cobalt with my car stock, just doing a launch. With a 16G, if you can't beat that junkbox, then you owe it to the club to sell your car and buy a GM yourself.

I am going to say probabilisticly your engine would put out less power with the 760's.

With almost double the injecor size, you better be a good tuner!

And I am not sure how your typing skills relate to you being in your car at -2C. Not even Jean Chretien said the cold weather made his English bad!
