BTW, It's probably gonna take more than 8grand to get 3 girls to spend a weekend with you. Infact, a shotgun is about the only thing I could think of that might convince them. [Linked Image]

Let's hope those three girls don't take that RX-7's body as an indication of how much money you make being a race car driver [Linked Image]

Speaking of re-builds are rotaries easier/cheaper due to the great lack of moving parts?? Or are they generally more expensive/harder due to their rarity (compared to real engines [Linked Image] sorry, couldn't let that last one slide by..) anyway, is there much of a difference either way?

It has to be cheaper to re-build a rotary... I've seen marco using nothing but a bench grinder, wood chisels, sandpaper, and Castrol "superclean".. to rebuild all the rotary engines.. It's soo cheap cuz he doesn't even use real apex seals and gaskets... just ground-down coathangers and old rubberbands...

In all seriousness, if you've never seen a torn down rotary engine, you'd be pretty suprised at how simple it is... 3 moving parts.. that's it..

AND, the best part is, rotaries are so simple that even a simpleton like Marco can actually work on them! [Linked Image]

That would leave me to believe that the only reason Marco likes rotaries is:

He blows engines up SSOOO often, he needs to be able to rebuild them for $5.

Actually, I've read a few articles on the rotaries (ease, but need for ACCURATE porting, etc.) What got me wondering though was availability. Is Mazda the only place to get a new rotor if you need one, or is there a big aftermarket following for internal parts as well??

Long live the BONG! thread!! [Linked Image]

UBQ... is the Uncle Bens Quotient... the length you go to in order to try and convince us that you are fast, when you really aren't. [Linked Image]

Hmmm... so it does go something like this,

rotary
(the sound a cat makes when it's getting attacked by a weed wacker)
BOOM
(the never before heard sound of $5 leaving Marco's wallet)
rebuild
rotary

HOWEVER, you all have to admit that a shop that does rotaries will never go under.

YEAH!! Only Andy B loves us enough to rebuild THIS thread!! I thought it was gone for sure!! Now, to the task at hand...

I may have a mexican sounding exhaust, but that four bowl chili eatin', tijauna visitin', 26er of tequila drinkin' mexican can STILL stagger from light to light faster than that Rust-X 7!! ESPECIALLY right now!

(Got it fixed yet?? Any chance it'll be fixed April 3rd?? Pull Beside [Linked Image] ya, that'd shut me up right quick!)

Now it'll be me aginst four Steves, Jees is there anymore lurking in the shadows that want a piece of me? whatever
you'll all need it.

And as for your groundskeeper. DOES HE WANT SOME TOO? Tell him to drop that porno mag, fire up the lawntractor and pull beside.

I'll bet you he wears spandex pants, no shirt exposing the hairy chest, CHiPs sunglasses, leather biker jacket, honda weed wacker, slicked back hair, and pointy dress shoes with white socks, hoping to get a movie deal, or at least a cable show called "Summertime Fun with the Leather Gardener" featuring your host Manuel E Jaculacion

Steve D: Join in.. Skinnyboy deserves everything he gets.
I realized the other day that even my winter beater is faster than anything skinnyboy owns. Let me say that again... My two Mitsu's will smoke your two mazdas! [Linked Image]

That 323 was slower than the Civic DX I drove up in today...
And "scrapmetal" is a compliment to your Rust-X-7.. [Linked Image] Odd how the day after you turn up some dyno specs, the poor little rotary farts and dies.... Makes it kinda hard to back up those claims eh? Kinda convient considering the Purple plymouth happen to be back on the road.... What's the matter Marco? Fraid of getting smoked by Barney? Yeah, like that three rotor he was going on about in the War Stories...

Sure, it could make 400hp... if you could keep it running.... and keep a body around it I suppose. [Linked Image]

LOL.. [Linked Image] If you look around Marco's shop, there is always two scrap items you will always find kicking around. A couple mitsu trannies, and TONS of rotors and housings from RX-7's.

I'll be nice tonight.. Marco and Arnel spent ALL DAY under my car today, and when I picked it up at 9:30pm, Marco was almost delirious... and very cranky [Linked Image]

What if we add Steve R's first 1/8th and my second 1/8th into one timeslip?? Ahhh, never mind we won't have to when you start spitting apex seals out your exhaust!!

Unless, you've upgraded to steel coathangers for that [Linked Image]

Andrew: what's the record for most posts in a thread?? While we're at it what's the record for the most DSM's to beat a mazda??

My lightened flywheel increased my HP's more than what your little rotary's even got [Linked Image]

She now revs as fast as a CBR900 on steroids... [Linked Image] mmmmm.. lightened flywheel...

BTW, I found a good use for old rotary parts.. I polished up an old rotor outta an RX-7 and am using it as a "pencil holder" for my desk [Linked Image] See? Rotaries aren't a waste of metal...

I'm pretty sure in Turbo one month there was a picture of a guy wearing a rotor on the end of a chain around his neck. You guys are weird..

Uhh, the reason I gave Marco the Hoosiers is because I felt sorry for him. I figure a mazda needs all the help it can get in order to make it down the track under 15. I regret it though, I have this vision of that passenger door blowing off around the the end of the track and flying into a dsm.......actually....that wont happen cause the dsm will be so far ahead..."IM NOT ASSIMILATING TO THE ROTARY CONNECTION" Im just trying to help a lost cause out of sympathy

It's to gain traction in all the $hit that spews from marco's mouth... "Yah lit'l momma, She's got 400hp and I'm a professional racecar driver.." [Linked Image]
