I think you guys might be forgetting one factor. A quiet boy, from the outer regions... some call him the space cowboy, some call him the gangster of love, yet all his stories end with a good rub & tug. Yes, the man himself, Han Solo. Don't sell the Corillian smuggler short either... he's had the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy before, he'll have it again. He's been gathering parts... on his coffee table, in the shower, and in the outer regions of Brockville... the day will come, my son.

Yes, humour be thy name... but my time shall yet come.
But when I do it, I will at least do it with style...
I'm with Sean... it's time to open an account at the fuel depot. I'll get the 50gal drum, if you guys promise to use it up.
Mark: I think it's time you and I set our sights once again, on the prize. Let's see if we can't get kicked off the track this year... shall we?
I mean, what's the worst that can happen... we break something, or end up having to clean the engine bay again?

Hey Andrew, if you're serious shoot me an e-mail. A guy on my soccer team owns the only mixing plant in this area. He supplies all the shops and drag teams around here with the high octane fuel, not to mention some gas stations. He said he could mix me up some unleaded but he only mixes barrels at a time..unless I happed to show up on the odd day that he is mixing some for someone else.

Naw.... last post was too tame/lame. "Get your carbon filled engine in there buddy, cause the noise is about to be brought"Yeah, noise is about all it's good for. For that much money, that much knob polishing, and that many rebuilds, the damn thing should be doing 10's.... who's driving it anyways? Kinnaird's carbon soaked grandmother??? "(I've ALSO got BTS Racing working on a new, secret mod for me....)"What's HE going to do for you? A urine injection system? Rub & Tug while you drive? Rip off your bumper and dance on your hood? "Is this an open flame fest or do I have to be at least in the 16's to participate?"Not really... even if you IQ is less than 16, you can participate, after all, we let Gates play... "Steve explained his stage XII port job he did on the head..."I don't care what kind of head he gave you Vince, he's still going to kick your ass... "and for the last time... I didn't set the fuckin timing"Yeah, sure you didn't... and you didn't fill your boost controller with polishing compound either I suppose... it was all the car fairies... "Sean you mean that 15 sec 4 door you brought to the track last year?"And maybe it's time Mr ABS Bernaki spent more time on going faster, than on slowing down... "...The only time it ran a 15 was on the first pass. I think it was the driver and a huge exhaust leak right before the turbo that made the turbo spool slow a hell and only hit 15psi..."Blah blah blah... go back to being her bitch, and let us see what a real driver (Amy) can do with the car! Ahhhhhh that's much better. BING!

LOL Steve, I know the difference, don't worry. Brett's gonna have enough problems keeping things out of his turbo, never mind keeping up to me. We all know that your car is wood, why do you keep denying it? Bart, you're right it don't get you home. It gets you to the winner's circle Sean, put the boost up to 20 where it belongs and show Mr. Tractionless what speed is all about. (just leave the settings alone this time ) Andy. Style? style?you call a 2g with stock rims and gay purple badges...style? The only thing that gives your car style is that slightly lowered stance. But thats only because you had one too many twinkies on the way home. badaboom badabong!

Maybe if you should work on spelling people's names right before you worry about being fast, MR. PEENHAUS!!! As for the rest of you guys, for the money you've spent you should be in the mid 11's not struggling to get 12's. Poor pathetic wannabe racers! Now I know why there was soo many 17sec honduhs at DSM vs Them, anything faster and it would have made us look worse then we already do! Suck on that for a while, Déjelo para usted!

MY beater? How the hell do you know you don't have a beater?? The only time you lift the hood is to polish something. Do you even know where your thermostat is?? Or did the local shop fix THAT for ya too?? Any monkey can throw money at a shop and make their car fast. There are those of us that take a little pride in making our OWN cars fast..

Okay now a little poem for the Purple Plymouth: One DSM to rue them all, One DSM to wind them, One DSM to gather them all, And watch the race from behind them. In other words he feels sorry for us mere mortals and yet get's us all wound up then in the end gets put in his place. That about sums it up .

"Funny...I don't think of the 100+ timeslips I have downstairs, that any of them say 20.xx"Uh huh, sure. And on that one run, I had almost as much carbon blowing out the tailpipe as you have on your valves AND your brake pads AND Steve's engine... Some of us don't have a private tuner. "You've spent as much as me on go fast and you're still in the 13's"Hard to say... I spent too much time helping others last year, to really find out. The 13.2 @ 109 is from 2000... But, for the record... I haven't spent anywhere NEAR as much as you have. Check your turbo, I think it's broken again. Maybe you better replace your rad again, there's a dirty spot on it...

[/q] 13.2 @ 109!!! And I thought I was a bad driver with a 13.2 @ 106. With Andrew and his 13.2 @ 109 and PPG with his 12.5 @ 112 CA DSM looks like a bunch of "granny shifti'n not double clutchi'n like you're supposed" drivers. I guess that's what happens when you get old, eh? It takes an extra second for that 'shift now' message to get from your brain to the muscles that make it happen. Is this what's going to happen to me when I get as old as you guys? B to the O to the O to the o to the N to the N to the GBONG!

Bah. This one is NOTHING.
Do a search for the ORIGINAL bong sometime..... geezz.. newbies.
Blake, You've blown it now. You spent money!
I'll see you back here at the 13.8's now..
PPG: Tell you what. I'll drop by sometime soon, re-check your timing for you, make sure there's no polishing compound in your MBC, do a compression test to see if that HG is still holding up, and make sure the damned thing will shift gears. THEN we'll take the PP out for a race and out an end to this once and FOR ALL!

-sigh- This is getting boring. Same old arguments, same old trash talk. Blah, blah, blah. The only thought that comes to a calm mind, is: I may be slow, but I'm ahead of you...So, I'm not so sure I have too much to worry about, from the likes of you guys. PPG... well, yeah, he's the one that's ahead, but at the same time, he's owned his car twice as long as me, and put twice (or three times) the amount of money into it. (in coolant and cleaning rags alone!) So, we'll see. I'm truly not expecting any huge surprises this year, but it would be nice to see Mark get kicked off the track for the no roll cage rule... ---- Lastly, I see Thomas stuck his hyundai head in here... I couldn't ignore that. Yes Mr Toth, most assuredly, do BRING IT. (whatever passes for "it" these days, that is...)

Faster than me? Anyone who has modified their car beyond stock is faster than me right now, Torrey, so it's not much of an accomplishment. It's not like I "claim" to be fast, like SOME people who've spoken up already in this BONGalicious thread. We'll see who's laughing once I get my mods started though, wiseguy... Just keep in mind, I have a 6-bolt 1G equipped with a healthy 14B and all-wheel drive, which already gives me nice advantage over you! ...I almost forgot to pass the BONG!

That's not how you should speak of your future worst nightmare... Show some respect, and maybe I'll take it easy on you, when I decide to take it to the track one day, rather than blowing your doors off. Besides, this antique is in pretty good condition.

That's right, Torrey! Why are you so worried about doors falling off, though? Has it already happened to your precious '95? Your car is getting pretty old too, there, buddy... According to your point of view! Wait a minute, I know why you're afraid... Cause whenever I'm ready and we do line up for a race at the drag strip, your doors WILL fall off... Simply due to the fact that I will "blow your doors off" from takeoff!

I'll never pack NOS, I can't stand the idea of being bottle-fed. What I can't understand is why you think I'm going to be such a push-over? I mean, 1G owns all and everyone knows that since they can be made much faster for much less... Anyway, I'm not one to talk trash until I can back it up, so since I don't have any mods done to the car yet I'll graciously say "you win" for now... But trust me, one day soon I'll make you eat those words.

For the record, it's not that kind of bong. It started as a PING test, that got turned into a PONG. (ie: ping-pong) Then, it became a BING test, that one of the local idiots of course said BONG in response to... So, it's BONG, as in the ringing of a loud and large bell. --- Speaking of ringing bells, you guys got nuthin'. Ring your bell three times, and leave. come back when you got something to show...

Looks like Gates, Andrew and PPG all have a few things in common, 1) They all have cars they barely drive 2)They all have slow cars, with way too much money into them for repairs and/or mods 3)They want to be kewl 4)They all don't know how to drive 5) fill in your answer here:

The 3rd sign has come to pass... Stinger is now 16G equipped. Only 4 signs have yet to show (exhaust, fuel system, clutch, FMIC)to mark the end. p.s. She's on the road now ... but thanks to OPSEU not legally yet . I've been working on the cars most of the last 5 days... I need that bong whoever has it.

Well, Purple Penis Guy.... I've had my "carbon filled" engine in for a while now. (Long enough to clean out all the PPG style black soot that was in it..) Looks like it's finally tuned fairly well, as well.. so.. You figured out how to adjust your timing yet??
Get all that polishing compound out of your boost controller??
Got all the spare coolant you can carry in the hatch??
Good. Let's get going then... I need someone to tell me if you can actually SEE that crack in my tailight.
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

You are SO gonna get walked all over.... 21 psi (pump gas, you cheater!) and a knock count high of 6.. Bahahahaa!! That, along with the REAL IC coupling Andy gave me, is going to cause you a lot of grief on the highway this year... I can't wait.. [giggle]...

I should hope so. That was 7 pounds of boost ago. If you COULDN'T have kept up to me at 14 psi then, I wouldn't even bother embarassing you. You'd be doing it all on your own.

Seeing you, even smaller, in my rear view (again) makes me feels better. I'm going to be in a GREAT mood when we get to London. Perhaps a 16G is good for 10HP... I haven't dynoed it yet. I've got video footage of you proving a 20G is only good for 255 ft/lbs of torque though. (Did I mention something about you embarassing yourself earlier?)

I thought you blew that gasket when you took Craig and I for a ride.. That was WELL after the dyno. You'll have to dream up something better then that. Vince: until you stop whining (like a baby, I might add)about your car being too loud, you're not allowed to say anything in here! BTW: We've done it.. it was too close to call. That was on my old engine though. The one that used to knock, and was running 18psi... I'm gonna give PPG some whoop-ass to fill his can back up with.

Scott, you're starting to sound like Vince... "Once I get this, and that, and my car is running again, I'll kick yer ass.."
AWD envy?? I don't think so. Seems to me everyone with an AWD is trying too hard to get/keep the damned thing running to have any fun with it.
Besides, AWD is for wimps that think a race starts at 0 km/h. Everyone knows the fun races start at 120..

Since you all think you are kings, why not race my lowly POS? Its AWD, but I will gladly do a highway pull with you... Just name the place, time, etc. Well, try to make it for a weekend, lol! And none of this "when my car is tuned, blablabla" bullshit.

hahaha Kings huh? Thats funny...There is one small bit of info you seem to be missing Ian. Steve, Andy, Craig and I (plus some of the others) are GOOD friends. We are not just people who meet here on the UBB. We bug each other because we know things about each other that you guys don't know. Its all fun and games for us, until... Ian, I would love to see you race a FWD on the highway. Your 407 WHP would make it very hard to beat you. Besides...my lowly Buschur car would be no match for your Magnus-supercar

So Davey built your car? I wasn't trying to be a prick, I was just saying. I am always up for a race, and I somewhat figured you guys were all joking. The 407WHP, well that isn't that much anymore. I am already to use to it, hitting the nitrous in about a week after my new TC. =) muhahahha

Well it looks like I'm gonna have to get my sh!t together and get out to represent since Steve's 14 seconds runs aren't going to scare anyone. She's in this week getting some of the 3" pipes from Rob Arpa tig welded into a full 3" turbo back (catless for now). Ahhh.. you gotta remember though, Mike. I NEVER said I'd beat the Purple Penis in the 1/4.... So (thankfully!) my E.T. doesn't mean anything. Since I was keeping up with my 102 MPH street set-up, I'm pretty sure I know what my, now, 106.4 MPH street set-up will do to him...

Some wonderful 2.4s, and 2.5s.. I WISH the spinning had stopped by 60ft... Better be careful with that sig.. ask PPG what happens. (Especially when I've got more options at my disposal than you do. And I'm not above using them!) Torrey: Trust me. You're STILL slow. (And I don't mean just your car!) Vince: Ya ya.. I'm getting old, and maybe my driving IS getting worse. Lucky for me though, my "mechanic's skills" have gotten better. It lets me actually GET to the track when I want to.

Ok, kiddies.. obviously you guys haven't been paying attention. You think you can just jump into the BONG! thread and talk about whatever you want!?!?
You 3 need to go back and re-read this thing from the START. Yep. That's right. Go back, read it all. From the beginning. Don't just jump in with a wiseass comment and think you're included.
When you're done reading, then (and only then) decide if you got the balls, AND the horsepower.
If you think you do, I'll meet you on the highway.
Then, the 4 of you (Yes.. PPG will be back there too...) can meet me. I'll already have the beers waiting for you.
Now, let's forget about your E.T. worries. 'Cause this race just gets going after the 1/4 mile...

Not sure. My buddy is coming down from Ottawa this weekend so it depends on when he leaves. If he leaves Sunday (or has plans with family) I'll make it down in the new girl. She still needs a few items before she can race though.

Actually it seems that your FWD POS and 14sec driving skills is the only thing that doesn't belong in here. The race just starts after the 1/4 mile eh? I wouldn't be taken that car of yours past 60km/h nevermind 100mph with those bifocal geezer eyes of yours. Don't be scared of the Z24 you will grow to like the chevy bowtie on the rear tail.

... ya. Because that puppy is going to blow sky high the first time you turn the key.. I'd be shaking too.. BTW: Looks like Powder Puff Girl is coming over to yank his A/C tonight. [sigh] Doesn't he know that losing the 60 lbs isn't going to be enough for him to catch me??

You should have bought 2 Porsches. Purple, is neither fast, nor exotic. What I just realized is even worse though: With the high 10s and LOW 11s we saw there that day, both of us should STFU. When all is said and done though, my car and I are way cooler than your car and you.

If that's the case... go back to that pic of the first race PPG and I had.
Notice which side the "win light" is on.

LOL! You've still got that can of whoop-ass don't you? Yep.. been a long time. Apparently, some things never change. The only difference is that back then, you kept pushing coolant trying to stay ahead of me. Now you're spewing oil. While my car sleeps quietly in the garage tonight without a fresh drop of anything underneath it.

Bring your own.. we can pop it on PPG's exhaust manifold. It's not good for much else.

Will anyone be coming out for the CSCS event on Sunday? I was there last event, and I didn't see any DSMs (other than Marco's).

If I can get my plate sticker before then (e-test), maybe... I'm shooting for very low 15's .
