Josip agreed to sell me a 2G exhaust manifold. I sent him a money order on June 6, 2002. His last note to me was sent on June 12, 2002 stating that he had sent the manifold out via Purolator and that he would send me the Purolator tracking number when he got home that night. That was the last I heard of him and have not received the manifold to date. After sending him several emails asking for the Purolator tracking number and receiving no replies, it became evident that I would probably never see the manifold or my money back.

Josip, I will remove this post if you chose to deal with this matter appropriately.

Just thought I'd add that this was a well written note. I also think that it is very considerate of anyone who posts a note such as this to remove it if the matter is resolved afterwards. I would consider this kind of note to be a "kick in the ass" for the person in the subject.

FWIW: I tried to buy a 2G exhaust manifold from him last year. After a week of him coming up with excuses as to why he didn't take it to work with him that day, (ie: it was too dark in the shed, and he didn't have a flashlight).

After getting tired of the excuses, and the un-answered phone calls (he only responded to my e-mails; never answered the phone, or returned my calls) I gave up, and forgot about it...

Could just be that he was very busy that time though....

Thanks Gates and Steve. Moderators, I know this forum isn't for this, so do with it as you will. I'm not trying to slander anyone, nor would I want the same. I'm writing more so in hope that Josip reads this since he isn't replying to my emails. I understand that people are busy and believe me, I have a lot of patience. But after a while, you can tell the difference between busy people and con artists. I've only been screwed over once and even if this becomes my second time, I'll still buy from fellow Canadian DSMers. That's what bothers me about this situation. I'd rather buy parts from Canadian DSMers to avoid the border hassles and extra courier fees. Not to mention that I know these people a little better, even if it is just through this site, than anyone on the DSM Trader. I searched Josip's name in previous posts and saw that his car was pretty well modded. So I figured this must be an ok guy to deal with. I guess I judged too soon. I do get choked about it, but it almost comes with the territory. Later.

Not to side in this, but there was a Mesic brother at the Yorkdale meeting last Sunday...he did mention his brother was on vacation. I would assume (giving the benifit of the doubt) that its Josip on holidays? Give Ivan an email (search the forum) and see for sure.

Josip, you are selling a part and have recived payment in JUNE but have not sent it out yet?

If you are selling something and recive payment it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that the parts get sent out.

Ashley, you can go to the bank and get you money back for the money order, but if it is cashed they will want the money back from you.

If you don't recive the mani in the next day, (it should be sent overnight!) if you can get in touch with him ask him to send you the money order back.

Thanks for the info Kevin. Unfortunately, I sent him a postal m/o, and I'm not sure of the protocol with them. I sent the m/o on June 6. He said he sent the manifold out on June 12. Never happened.

Now his last post on July 22 states that he found the manifold in the garage and has sent it out, on his BROTHER'S behalf. I was under the assumption that I had originally purchased the manifold from Josip, but according to one of his last posts, Ivan was supposed to send it out. Whatever!

Getting in touch with him is the problem. Every note I send comes back undelivered. I've tried from work and through Hotmail with the same result. My patience is running thin. To be screwed over once is bad enough. To come back ensuring things have been sorted out, and then screwing me over again...well that's just plain insulting.

Josip or Ivan, as I stated before, I will remove this post if you chose to deal with this overdue item appropriately, or at all for that matter.

Or someone in Toronto could pay this Josip clown a visit to see what the hell is actually going on here.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I received my money order in the mail yesterday. As well, Josip is suppose to re-send me the 2G manifold as it was returned to him due to a wrong address. As far as I'm concerned, this thread can be closed. As long as it took, Josip did keep his word. Thank you.

I never forgot, but I did forget to mention it. I want to thank everyone who replied with their "support" during this incident. Although some of the comments might have been unececcessary, I'm sure your "push" made the difference. There are a few that will go unnamed that went above and beyond to try to help.
