Salut Rene.

You can use the same Clutch but their is a difference in size between an AWD and FWD Flywheel.

You'll need to get a new FW for your FWD.

Maybe you could sell the AWD FW and use the $$$ to get a FWD.

Ghislain.

It has been asked many times. They are the same diameter but the step height is different. They are NOT interchangable.

Black ES--sold and parted
RS-T AWD--smashed and parted
TSI AWD--13.7s @ 102mph

Other way around Randy.

Step height is the same but the diameter is different.

The AWD FW has a smaller diameter.

so let me get this right:
The diameter is different? Becasue if the clutch fits both, awd and fwd, which it does, i know for a fact, then the step height is the same and the bolt circle and flywheel surface is the same?? so what dia is differnt, the dia fo the the starter gear???
I'm just curious, i want to know for once and all!!
One more thing are they different in wieght?? becasue a awd might have a heavier one to make it easer to take off in first without stalling, compared to a fwd??? just a thought?

The outside dia (Starter Gear dia) is the big difference.

The AWD FW has smaller dia and is also lighter.

FWD is bigger and weighs more.

I've gone through this and measured it. the AWD diameter is 10.5 while the FWD is 11 inchs.
