Im looking for a front passenger axle and wheel bearing for a 95 awd turbo 5spd tranny. I have a 95 talon but the mechanic tells me I have a 96 tranny. I'm not sure what exactly I need because an auto parts store told me axles for a 90-95 are the same and 96 and on are different. Can someone clear this up for me because I dont see how this would be possible.

I always thought the passenger side axle is the same for all turbo DSMs, 93 and up.

If anyone knows about these axles and wheel bearings please tell me I keep getting different answers from auto part stores. I know that fwd and awd are differnent but can I put a 1g awd axle or wheel bearing into my 2g awd.

When I did my axles, got the parts from autoparts extra. The inner splines were 1/8th of an inch too small, had to put the old inner splines on the new axles to get it to work. There's now a little play in the axle at the inner bearing, however, it hasn't given me any problems as of yet. Take a micrometer and cross reference the diameters. Just thought I would pass that along.

I managed to get the axle rebuilt and a new wheel bearing but man was it ever hard.
