the company had a move and its not there fault for not having a hood...kieth orginized the group buy and no one had a clue that they had no hoods they waited 3 weeks before I could even make it to hamilton, everyone wants there sh!t but makes no effort to even help them out considdering that they gave us great deals on the hoods...I had to drive 3 hours to test fit a hood that anyone from toronto could have done in 45 mins...is that fair to me not rilly is life fair not rilly . they are doing the best they can so if there seems to be a problem I would be talking to keith about where the hood is. as far as I am concern I spent over 200 dollars in gas running around just to get the 1gA hood and fitting and sh!t and I don't rilly have the time or money for that but I did it just so other people could have there hoods...so maybe the club should pull togeather and find a hood...what could they possibly cost 50-100 buxs...some one has to have one just sitting around thats all i can think of..

You say this place is in hamilton? How long does the mold take? I might be able to help out if they can use a hood that's full of paint chips from all my highway driving.

Yes, nobody is knocking your effort Jeremy. By the time you spent the gas money, the hood is going to cost you over $800. The thing is, the people who order in a group buy, should not be held responsible, nor should they feel guilty that they did not go down to this place and give them their hood for them to make the mold. Making CF parts is their business. They should have contacts for that kind of thing. I for one, am not going to drive from Ottawa to Hamilton to make a mold for a hood I bought. I don;t have a spare one kicking around. This isn't really Keiths fault either, he should not be the one who has to get hoods for these guys. They are a company, so they should have ways to get that kind of thing.

It's my daily, so I would have to be able to swing in there, do it and leave again. I'm not in the GB so I don't want it tied up for more then an hour or so. Just thought I'd ask.

K... So I'm guessing they need a mold for the 92-94 style hoods. Please let me know if this is correct.. or is there a number I can contact someone at.
I'm sure I can round one up from the wreckers in London.
It's still gonna cost me a hell of alot less then getting one from the states especially if the hoods are being made for $500cdn each.
oh ya where is this Keith guy who set this all up..... haven't heard from him in a while...
and Jeremy did you get to take home that test fit CF hood I saw earlier in the posts?

ps. This has nothing to do with you keith. That's what I've been trying to say this whole time!! This CF company is supposed to make top notch products, why do they not have resources to get molds done??!! It makes no sense whatsoever, no matter if they moved, or if they had to do some other hoods first, it's been 4 months, it's not acceptible. If I don;t have a hood by the end of this week, I am going to cancel my order, and get one from VIS. I know I can get one next day. Okay, I spoke with Mark from CF Technologies, and Keith hasn't had a chance to get the hood over to them. I am going to send my hood out to him tomorrow, he will have it Friday. The hoods will be in production next week if all goes well. There was nothing they could do without the hood to make the mold, and I understand that they are busy as hell supplying to their two places. I am going to sacrifice my daily driver for a week for this, because it's the only way we are going to get things underway, and make people happy.

I would like to know why Keith isn't getting back to me, he told me over a week ago that he would send me back mine and my friends deposit last Monday, and now I haven't heard from him. I just couldn't wait anymore, I got myself a CF hood locally.

So...I sent my hood to CF Technologies. They received it today, and are starting on the mold. The 95-98 hoods should be ready soon, but Keith is supposed to go down there for a test fit, but he is so busy with shows and everything, I was wondering if there would be anyone else near them, that could go for a test fit. Either way, I hope someone will be available the end of this week for the fitting.

Well, to tell you the truth, I am a bit pissed off with CF Technologies. I will give you the scenario about it. I called them up, and asked them how long it would be once the mold was done for the hoods to make two, because we had a show coming up. This was two weeks approx, before the show. So I decided to send my hood, because the guy told me it will take till the Saturday before the show to get the mold done, then I would have the hoods by the Thursday before the show, which would be about a week and a half after they had received my hood. Keep in mind here, this is my hood from my DAILY DRIVER, so I was out a hood for that time. It was going to be no big deal, because my car was going to the bodyshop for a week and a half to fix up some things before the show, and I was told I would have the hood the day before my car came out of the shop. Now it's Wednesday, and I'm calling them to make sure everything is cool, and they will be shipping my hood out. The guys tells me now way, that it normally takes 4 weeks for a hood to be done. So I'm thinking to myself, "Why the frack would you tell me a couple of days after the mold was done, that I would have my hood, if you knew it usually takes 4 weeks!!??" If that was the case, I would have never sent the hood there in the first place, because during shipping, the two corners near my windshield, were damaged. They had to fix the corners, which was one of his excuses when I asked about why so long. I asked my body guy about fixing the corners, and he told me it takes less than a day to do that, so he wasn't sure what the hold up would be. Anyway, I end up having to dish out for towing my car from the bodyshop, to the mechanics where I had an appointment for, the Friday before the show, which was $70, then towed downtown to the show, which was another $100, plus the cost of shipping the hood next day service with Purolator, which was done because I wanted to make sure they got my hood for the mold quickly. It's now been over a week since the show has been finished, and my car has been without a hood ever since. I am at a huge inconvenience right now, because I offered to use my hood for the mold. I am now paying a buddy of mine to store my car in his garage because I do not want my engine bay getting poured on, or the car sitting around outside on the street without a hood, nor can I drive around really, because if it starts to rain, the engine and all sensors become soaked. I'm not very pleased to say the least. If I would have been given an honest answer before I sent my hood, I would have never done it. The hood got damaged, and I'm losing almost a month of driving because of it. I'm also out quite a bit financially, because of the towing, and shipping, and storage of my car, close to $300 I would say. On top of that, the guy tells me Keith has money for him, and information on the hoods that have been ready for quite a while for the other people in the group buy, but he has not been around, to give it to them. So now, I have to wait for Keith to get back from Nova Scotia, which is supposed to be Wednesday, but who knows, all the dates they have been giving me ever since this thing has started, have been bullshit. The guy is then going to test fit the hood on the car, and tells me he is going to ship the two hoods out to me that night!! Now I'm thinking to myself, how is that going to be possible!!??? If Keith goes there to test fit the hood, and it fits, that's his hood, and the guy has to make two more!!! Does it take one day or less than one day to make two hoods!!??? IMO, this guy is throwing me dates, so that I am happy, but I am not stupid, and if it took this long to get one hood out of his place, then to make two more is not going to take a day!! To say the LEAST, I AM PISSED OFF!!!!

If anything you should be getting a free hood out of this, especially since you haven't been able to drive your car for a month. Everything sounds fishey to me, I would be trying to get my hood and money back at the least and then I'd be trying to get compensated for the lost time and your expenses.

Keith It's good to hear the mold is done, but am I going to be receiving atleast one hood by tomorrow like promised? I'm just wondering, because I don't have a trailer to haul my car around. I left a message with Mark, so hopefully he ships me atleast one hood today, and then whenever the other one is ready.

What a fracking joke!!! Anyway, this guy has now promised me 4 different dates, and now he doesn't even know if he can ship it out by tomorrow night. That's my story. Comment if you like..

Yeah I'm glad I had to get my wheel bearing repaired instead, because I probably would have donated my hood seeing as I'm a little more local then you.

It's not Keith's fault really. It seems that there just seems to be more excuses everytime it comes around to the time the hood was promised to be here. FIrst it was no mold, second it was he was having problems with guys showing up to do the work, third it was tthat nobody was there for the test fit, then now, it is this clearcoat issue. I'm wondering how they ever get a hood done in less than a couple months if this is the way they conduct their operation.

You can purchase them from their Canadian supplier, Vigo is the name of the company. The hoods are not done either. The mold is done. I do not even have mine, so they are not done.

Billy, I meant Keith should talk to the guy making the hoods, not you. But it's really none of my business, so I'll stay out of it.

IF you are on MSN, add me, thebucs@hotmail.com. I will send them to you. To tell you the truth, I'm not very happy with the clearcoat job. You can see it was rushed, and something rubbed up against it while it was wet. My bodyshop guy is going to fix it up for me, but I'll wait till the end of the summer to get it taken care of.
