Ok first time at the track and I was a little dissappointed. I was hoping to get around the 14.2-.3 area but I only managed to get 3 runs in before I had to head off to work. Here's my results.

r/t .847 .988 .887
60' 2.37 2.184 2.093
330 6.529 6.250 6.024
1/8 9.885 9.598 9.333
mph 72.57 72.37 74.96
1/4 15.124 14.814 14.512
mph 93.51 93.86 91.41

My question is why is it that my fastest time has the lowest MPH? I do admit that I tried to keep it in 3rd gear all the way but chickened out when I hit 7000RPM and just left off the gas. I guess I didn't cross the line yet. How the hell do you guys finish in third? It was nighttime racing so I had no idea where the finish was. Also bogged really bad first two runs and the third wasn't too bad but I've done better. Launched at about 4500-5000RPM.

The car: 95 Talon AWD
Mods: K&N, 1g Turbo, UIC, Greddy 2.5 Catback.

So is this a decent time or what? Or should I get slicks? [Linked Image]

You spend your time getting UP to speed as you get down the track, rather than wasting some of it getting to a higher speed but not covering as much distance.

I think your car should be faster than that... We have a local member that runs 13.7 on pump gaz and 13.5 on race gaz with those mods...

but he gives no chances to his tranny! that's the secret to go fast... but that's kind of hard on the car! A good launch (around 1.8 for an awd) and real fast shifting should bring you around 13.8 I think...
