Tomorrow is Mopar day at St Thomas. It's not suppose to rain so.... does anyone want to go down and show the old school mopar heads what the new school mopar cars can do?

I'm going for sure and will be there for 10:00 when the gates open.

I know I know... but I didn't know I was going then till Friday looked like rain.

I went anyway. It was a good day... and not a lot of cars there either [Linked Image]. There was only 1 other DSM there but he wasn't racing [Linked Image]. The only other 4 cylinders there were Neons that were running mid 15s and up. But the majority of the cars were nice modified late 60s early 70s Mopars running mid 13s with me [Linked Image]. Man it felt good to be running with those guys all day long head to head. I got lots of respect for keeping up with half the cylinders.

Later in the day a guy shows up in a supercharged couger and lines up next to me. He kinda gives me that oh here's one that won't give much of a fight. Well I ran in the 13s and he ended up 16 something... even most of the Neons coulda taken him.

The weather was great and the track wasn't bad. I couldn't hook all day though and my car was running really inconsistantly. I had like no 60fts under 2.3 and my trap speeds ranged from 102 to 107??? I did manage a new record of 13.59 @ 107.33... even with a 2.35 60 ft. Once I was eliminated in the first round I kept going around in the T&T line to try and get one half decent launch. Finally my last run I hooked up a little better and did a 2.2 60 ft. The run eneded up being 13.71 @ 104. I don't know why she was so inconsistant in mph. Oh well... I've got a few things to try before next Sunday.
