I'm looking at maybe trying to get some people together for a TnT night in the Ottawa area as soon as I can get my car out from the emchanics' garage. I'd like to know in advance if there would be any interest in general to attend this, more than likely because if not enough people are interested, it wouldn't really be worthwhile.

I'd need a few people at last, due to the fact that it is my first time owning a Talon and I'd like to get a feel of what I might need to repair/modify/upgrade from stock on my car - I already know of the basics, but hopefully getting a firsthand glance at these machines will help me out.

Yes, unfortunately I have to wait to get a new engine installed in my Talon... Long story short, I pay nothing cause the dealer did it! Anyway, it appears that enough people seem interested, so we might just go ahead and have a get together anyways sometime soon, just so I can get to know you guys... We'll make a night out of it or something, with movies, food, whatever! lol

Us DSM's need to come out and take over the local import scene. It would be cool organizing a local DSM club.

And I am also in the process of organizing some sponsors and stuff for "Club DSM Ottawa" - a club I'm not even sure exists yet, so if it doesn't, I'm making it. Either way, I've lined up sponsors for a bunch of stuff, including body kits, exhaust, paint and a whole bunch more, and by "sponsor", that means they are ready, willing, and able to give Club members HUGE discounts.

Hey Ali, do you have an eclipse? i was just wondering if you were the guy i was talking to at B&A about 20G's and such. it was late in the season and hella cold. we were talking about Tapp and Speedstyle. just wondering if that was you. i am definately down for a local DSM club too.

Directed at Gates- i saw your opinion post asking about visual modifications. i saw a white first gen, with the pop ups at that huge car show in Montreal a couple of months back and it looked sick. i would put a body kit on my car if i could find one. chrome rims looks sick, but they are a little heavy, considering my car is chunky as hell already.
i saw another first gen in ottawa, it was light purple with a body kit. the kit was nice, but i wasn't feeling the colour. the car is an extension of you, so make the car an expression of you. i want to do my interior too, but i don't have the cheese. i want some sparco seats, but thats just dreaming. if you have the money, by all means tear that sh!t up. i would personally start with the outside and then move in. just my 2 cents, that ended up like 20 bucks. sorry.

We'll keep everyone from Ottawa informed, and things are going great. I have already designed the Club DSM Ottawa decals (for those of you interested in the spring) and I am making non-stop calls to many different places hooking us up in the region, and nation-wide as well.

Just to give you an idea, so far I have sponsors for:

Body kits & ground effects sponsorships
Any exterior vinyl application
Tires, rims, accessories

and much more.

I hope you do a couple of track days, I'd love to see more people come out to luskville (despite the crappy track its a ton of fun) there arent many dsm's running impressive numbers around here, its time to step it up abit! As far as I know there were only 3 dsm's in the 12s this year, Pat, Eric and my cousin Claude.

Anyways, I'm in! if you don't mind a Colt uglying things up!

Hehehe... I have connections with the Luskville Dragway - most of my family's roots come from there! We're definitely going to have some DSM's running in the nxt drag season, including my own (If I can ever get it up and running lol)...

Any other ideas? I'll post another reply when I have a bit more time describing the plans have already got in the making - and let me tell you, there are a bunch, including soundoffs, drag races, some solo 1 maybe solo 2, and if anyone has some cars they're willing to DESTROY, we have a demolition derby track too!

Alright boys and gals, we have liftoff. Club DSM Ottawa is on a roll now and we have many people willing to offer us some form of sponsorship or another, including huge discounts on body work, and a whole buncha other goodies. Details will be posted shortly when I can list all of our companies and contacts, as well as a general idea of when to expect stuff to start moving along nicely.

I'm looking into a website for hosting the pages I am in the process of creating for our local branch of Club DSM. I may be forced to ask for donations from those of you interested in order to get the site ready to rock and roll.
