don't you mean driving with my 'board strapped to my Jeep!??? [Linked Image]

got the best of both worlds now! The Talon was a little too low to try and get thru another winter, so now the Jeep takes care of the snow & muck and the Talon takes care of the highway rocket rides [Linked Image]

well heres my info ok?
450's were enough at 26 psi on Gomey's car, but we ran 50 psi at idle and over 80 on boost, it still always ran rich at around 4500 when the injectors went full open. But heres where you guys are lucky, the talon will let the injectors run full duty, so when this happens thats when you usually see the balck smoke on PWT. I goes to 100% duty cycle (we have a guage) then drops down to 90-95 till the redline, thats with stock injectors. when they are at full duty you have the pump giving everything and the regulator trying to maintain constant pressure, so thats wen you get the big puff of smoke. and yes we ran stock injectors

Mike, boost, air-mass, duty cycle are all related. The more boost you have, the greater the amount of air required, thus the greater air-mass, thus the greater duty cycle (DC) of the injectors. If the DC maxes out, then you are metering air beyond what the fuel system can handle and thus eventually you get fuel cut.

John, the best thing is to check the DSM main site for more info on these fuel computers. Or you can go directly to each respective website. VPCs belong to HKS, you could try 'PMS' in the address window, and goto the Apexi site for the AFC.

Marco, crazy fast man....crazy fast! tongue Hey, got any spare parts from PWT kickin' around? [Linked Image]

Okay yes they are all related BUT the limit is specifically to the airmass value... and yes that is very important. So if you modify this limit (ie Todds Mod) to some huge value then the limit won't be hit anymore... so you won't get fuel cut no matter what the injectors are doing.

This ain't a flame just a clarifiaction.

Just got one question for you guys;

Any of you ever tried to swap your Fuel pressure regulator for a NT (I don't know if they fit but I would think so) In order to "Sweeten" the Air/Fuel mix???

1G NT car have 37 to 39 PSI of fuel pressure in the fuel rail with vacuum connected at the fuel PSI regulator and 47 to 50 PSI without vacuum.
1G Turbo have 32 to 34 PSI with the vacuum line connected and 36 to 38 PSI without.

Ghislain.

Not a good idea...The NT regulator does not increase with boost level ie it's fixed. The Turbo regulator is able to increase pressure with boost.
