Well I hit fuel cut for the first time this morning [Linked Image]. It's not as violent as I thought it would be. Definately different from a stutter that old plugs might cause.

I hit it cuz I have an unhacked MAF in the car right now.... it's coming out tonight. The boost was only at 14 psi and I hit fuel cut at about 5k.

Going to the normal MAF I could feel a little better response when initially hitting the gas pedal though. Certainly worth losing to gain the top end and fuel cut defense.

I'll update my webpage to include this info.

Maybe I spoke too soon. I put the hacked MAF in last night and felt no loss in responsiveness. Maybe it was the old turbo or the big crack in my exhaust manifold?

Fuel cut gone now.

What exactly did it feel like to you, Mike?

Heh..."Maybe it was my turbo just hanging off the manifold by one rusty stud that caused my power loss?" *Chuckle* (:

Hehe [Linked Image].

The car just like cut off. Wot to nothing is a pretty good jerk [Linked Image]. Certainly more then a bad plug stutter.

You can usually tell if you've hit fuel cut by the bruise on your forehead or the missing front teeth as your head is slammed forward into the steering wheel.... [Linked Image]

LOL.. I remember hitting it for the first time in 3rd gear merging onto the highway.. The "jolt" was enough to chirp the tires..

After a second or two of sheer panic, I realised what had happened..
