Ok theres is reason why I didn't suspect these right off the bat in my problems with Sheila. Wires were less then 2 years old. Just to put it in perspective, the wires on my van before my emmisions test this year were 5 years old. Why would I suspect it? The plugs were gapped at .030 and were only 4 weeks old with minimal driving. After seeing how the old ones were, I thought might as well replace them also.

To further compound trouble shooting, this problem happened right after I reinstalled my turbo. I mean the plugs and and wires were allowing the car to be drivable before. During a sunday, while replacing the turbo, they decided to quit. So I figured it was turbo related not ignition related.

Let this be a lesson to all green and not so green DSM'ers. The obvious is not always obvious. I suspected the fuel system and intake leaks before the ignition. Doh! Now I have to deal with my EGT's.
