I got my self a new laptop, A64 3000+ and it does not have a serial port.
Does anyone know which USB to Serial adapters currently work with TMO software and/or DSMLink 1g?
I'd like to know which ones are known to work before I buy and try.

Thanks

Uhhg. Mine isn't labeled and it's from work. I'll find out for you on Monday.

I can tell you stay away from FT8U100AX, FT8U232AM and FT8U245AM USB controller products. I spent 30 bucks on one of these and can't get the drivers to work on any of my systems frown

To get the TMO to work, I think you're looking at a PCMCIA - Serial.

I think mine was ~$80 or so. I had NO luck with a USB - serial. Neither, has anyone I know who has tried.

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Yes there are USB connectors that work. They are made by keyspan, work on DSMlink and TMO datalogger.

Edit: spelling

Like what Steve said, the only success I had was getting a PCMIA serial card.
