I'm thinking of buying a rear STB for my FWD. I've already got the front, and noticed a nice improvement in handling. Can anyone tell me if similar gains are to be had with the rear??

I'm hoping that a stiffer rear will help reduce my understeer a bit. I realize sway bars will probably help more, but will the ST bar help at all??

Thanx!

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Steve,

I recently installed the rear strut bar and I noticed quite a difference...I found that cornering was more controlled and alot of the mysterious rattles and bangs were gone from the back of my car....I generally find the car to feel more solid and stiff...I wouldn't say that it made as much of a difference as the front stb, but it is noticable, and worth the $75...

Just my $.02

Well, if you think about the proximity of the front STB to the firewall, and the empty space around the rear, you would think that the rear one would make more of a difference...

That said, I didn't notice much of a difference when I installed mine [2G AWD], aside from improved stability when hitting bumps mid-corner.

But hey, it's shiny, and shiny part MUST make you go faster right? [Linked Image]

I'd say go for it!

Don't forget to buy a 150$ Neuspeed one instead of a better made 75$ one with no brand name! Just the name will give you an extra 5 HP! LOL

Can you see that I hate paying more for something only for the name that's on it...
