Mandrel bends are when pipe is bent, but the inner diameter is kept constant. Unlike press-bends, that 'kink' the pipe.
And I think he's talking about that red headlight paint?

I don't think the amber lenses can be removed in the 2000GTX...
Is it legal to black out your rear tail lights? Was thinking about it myseft.
Well..i guess I'll see you guys at yorkdale this sunday (i'll show you guys how to remove the corner lights).

Jeremy, I think it could be done. But then again, its just my theory. Im planning to paint them red. If i get enough funds, id probably do it this coming weekend. And as far as i know, its illegal to black them out. Thnxs dude! Also, i checked this place out in brampton, B&G are selling springs for our cars. As long as its not AWD, we're cool. They said its $400 a set. Chris, Ahh...i went to St. Thomas Aquinas. Do you know anyone named Grace, or Edel perhaps? Man, i thought you guys were still 24 hours . I beat a moped, does that count ? Also, show me how u hacked your aircan. Been thinking about doing it. ------------------ A rare breed of automobile...to be enjoyed by a Fortunate few...but not ME! threestardiamond@hotmail.com [This message has been edited by Joe Esmama (edited May 02, 2001).]

Yup, thats them. You hang out with them a lot during HS? Frank...big italian dude? Hmmm...i guess ill just take out my Aircan and just clamp my filter on. Nope, my car isnt AWD. It'll be easier for you to find parts. You and the VR4 share some indentical parts. Drivetrain, suspension and what not. Turbo is no problem. Just the flow... Also, I quoted from Talahassee a VR4 grill and a 93' spec headlights.
Part Number Description 1. mb966661 grille $111.82
2. mb912847 lh headlight ('93) $157.40
3. mb612848 rh headlight ('93) $157.40 BTW, im 22(sorry, i missed the last question). ------------------ A rare breed of automobile...to be enjoyed by a Fortunate few...but not ME! threestardiamond@hotmail.com

I don't know how much better to not run an air can. I took my resonators off and feels like i've lost some low end power...could be just psychological..but my friend with an Acura EL lost a lot of power (you know how torque starved those engines are) when he installed a high flow akimoto intake. Could be the heat..but he had problems in winter.... maybe the increased flow changes torque characteristics in an N/A car.
Joe, $400 per set for springs? ..sounds good...those are lowering springs right? How about shocks? You got their contact info?
I got quite a whole lot of big money items to change....don't even know what to do first... 1) tires (??) 2) springs/shocks.... (??) 3) paint job ($1500) 4) air con R132 conversion ($100)
i'm thinking of going 16" wheels...what tires would fit 205/50/16s?, 205/45/16s? I was thinking of the Toyo Proxes FZ4s.
{sigh)...maybe i should just buy Ian's car

Chris, It seems like thats the best way for me anyways. I dont wanna hack my aircan since i use the car during winter too as well. So... I use to see Grace at her church, but i rarely go there nowadays. I hang out with edel a lot man, we usually go to RAXX's on the weekends. We should link up and chill man. Jeremy, Yes they are for springs. Some small shop here in brampton. Struts, im still looking around. If i had the money, id probably do my suspension first, springs/struts, strut bars. Then my brakes. Then the ICE . There's a VR4 on Mofugas or Extreme's website running's 18's! ------------------ A rare breed of automobile...to be enjoyed by a Fortunate few...but not ME! threestardiamond@hotmail.com

Took the car on 410 yesterday. I did notice an improvement on higher RPM's. But from low to mid, i lost a few. On 3rd gear with the box on, i can just ram it and the car pulls. Now without the box, it seems like it takes years to get there . But ill keep it on for a bit, till next week. See if there's any improvement at all. ------------------ A rare breed of automobile...to be enjoyed by a Fortunate few...but not ME! threestardiamond@hotmail.com
