I a bit confused about brakes. I was reading SCC where they had a Turbo Maxima upgraded to a 4 piston calipers and bigger brakes. They reported that it had a mushy feeling and it felt inadequate to brake that car. Theory was (i think), due to the brake master cylinder.
Now, for people who upgraded their brakes to a bigger one with 2 or 4 piston calipers. Did you guys ever had that feeling? It seem inadequate because the brake cylinder is engineered to clamp a specific rotor size. Bigger rotors = bigger surface area to clamp. Therefore, you have to press down on your brake a bit harder. Am i right?
