Has anyone replaced the bushing located in the
K-cross member? I have been looking for a very long time and keep running into dead ends. I have check with ENERGY SUSPN and they do not have what I am looking for. I have found several FORD web sites that have totally replaced the k-cross member with a lighter version for their cars but nothing for the Talon. So, if anyone has come across something like this, any help would be great. Thanks. Will

My rear K member bushings are also shot... what symptoms are you noticing from this? I am having a vibration in the rear of my car on the highway when trying to maintain a cruising speed in fifth gear. There is also some driveline slack that maybe is caused by these bushings as well. I was wondering if you had either of these symptoms? I know I need to fix them, but am more concerned with getting rid of this vibration. If you are having similar problems it might motivate me to do the bushings sooner than I planned.

Maybe filling them with windo-weld would work?

Scotty, I have vibration from the rear also when driving on the highway. Also every time I drive over a bump of any sort I hear a thump!
Not sure if this is due to the same issue.

John, I have thought about filling also. I was going to find one from the scrap yard pressing it out to see what the bushing looks like, to see what other application might work.

I’m waiting to hear from the guys at FORD web site's about helping out on this issue.

Let me know what you guys come up with... the part from Tallahassee cost $195 USD plus the shipping etc.

I called a local Dodge dealer and got a price of 14 dollars each for the bushings... but maybe they were confused. I am going to take a copy of the pic you posted in with me in order to verify that they are ordering the right parts. For 14 bucks I'm probably going to buy them instead of half assing it like I usually do, although I'm pretty resourceful with a hockey puck...

Funny you mention the hockey pucks! That was my first idea wink Confirm it with the dodge dealer. If they know something that the local boys here don't then were laughing. Hard item to find.

If everything goes well, I will have a k-cross member to work on this weekend. Pulling on out from a srap yard. Have to get this to work before the snow hits the ground.
