If the 2g is longer then its probalby feasible to shorten the bar and re-tap the hole. Is there more to it then that? anyone have both so they can be compared?

One end has a left hand thread, it would be difficult to get that end re-cut deeper. Cut the end with the right hand thread. I also understand you have to cut the plastic trim piece to install the 2g bar on a 1g/ "bluebird" worlds fastest scooter ridden by me "Whitebird" RIP
