Ok, I had been bleeding my brakes all along with the engine off. Wondering how you guys do it? Wouldn't it be easier with engine running and the servo assisting?

Enlighten me please.

I do it with the engine off, then I know it's bled properly when the pedal is very stiff.
With the booster running, the pedal will always be a little soft.

I do it car off (unless it's winter, 'cause the windows fog up laugh laugh )

I may be wrong but I think the potential benefit of doing it with the car on is that you can bleed with greater pressure in the line...

Car off.

At work, if we need to bleed the brakes on a new car with ABS, the car needs to be running and the scan-tool needs to hooked up to engage the ABS module.
