Im looking to get some 5zigen FN01R-C rims, however they only come in x.5(7.5, 8.5, etc). Im just wondering if 18x8.5 rims will fit at all? Thinking around +38 offset. 235 or 245x40 tires. I doubt they will fit but does anyone know for sure? Obviously im going to need to trim.
Thanks

8.5 width should be too wide. Even if your suspension set is stock. 8 is always the widest rims recommended for DSM.

But what I can tell you is for +38 rims you are at the limit, and I doubt you should use 245 tires.

I have a set of 18X8 Volks with a +43 offset. My tires are an 235-40-18" and my car is lowered with the Eibach pro kit.

My tires are really close to the fendors and inside suspension arm. I had to roll the rear fenders a bit as she rubbed on large bumps.

I would say this is as wide as you can go.

that sucks. can you guys recommend any other rims that compare with FN01R-C? Or should i just go 17x8?

Edit

Found this in the 1000AAQ.

"At least one member, Allen Lau, has successfuly mounted 18" wheels on his 1G, using Racing Hart Tracer 18 x 8.5 wheels with a 41mm offset. Allen described the wheel offset as being a key point in fitting the wheels; any more than a 41mm offset and the tires will hit the strut towers. Less than 39mm offset may result in suspension problems, as the stock offset is 46mm. Tires used were 235/40/R18. 18 x 8 wheels with 225/40/R18 tires were reported to be equally good."

If they can fit on a 1G, shouldnt they be able to fit on a 2G as well? If not better? From this im thinking that +40 should do the trick.
P.S. Where can i get the alignment done and the fenders rolled at the same time? or can any shop do this?

Just because they fit on a 1G does not mean they fit on a 2G. They have completely different suspension design's as well as body shape.
But saying that Dennis Grant run's 17x9.5 with 275/40/17 with no rub +19 Volk TE-37's

Why don't you just get the 18x7.5 size that you said was available in your first post?

You seem to be dead set on putting an 8"+ rim in there, but in the real world those extra few millimetres of tire that you'd get over a 7.5" rim will make zero difference in handling. Especially on an AWD car.

Road Race Engineering offers longer wheel studs so you could put spaces in there to make it fit. I would recommend flaring your fenders after.

Actually, Dennis Grant runs 18 X 10.5 +15 Enkei RPF1s with a Hoosier 285/30-18 tire.

275s are soooo 2004....

If you are looking for Nitto 555's, try mytires.ca. He was really great and he could get some exotic tires in so he may be able to hook you up. There are lots of great tires out there though... Check out the Tire Decision Guide on the Tire Rack, they have lots of great info on there! Good luck. smile
