Okay, so i've had the oscillating idle for quite some time now.
I remember a post some guy wrote about separating the mechanical and the electrical part and just installing the mechanical portion and running a manual idle.

Well, i started to do that, disconnected the plug, and thought i'd stop there to see what happens.
It works! My idle is stable now (manual tuning), but all i did was disconnect the plug.

Is this okay? Anything else i should worry about?

I know that you just rectified the bad idle but how long ago did you clean your throttle body???

Give it a shot if the trouble comes back.

Haha!... I've been running like that since I got the car!

Nothing beats a steady idle [Linked Image]

I know a couple of others are running around like that... AC, Josh?

Are you guys saying you disconnected the idle servo controller (ISC)?

I hope you tried the fixes listed at <a href="http://members.home.com/costall/1000Q/answers-problems.htm#Mycardoesnotidleverywell"> this section</a> of the 1000AAQ first.

Well if simply removing the electrical plug to the ISC is considered "disconnecting" the ISC, then... that's exactly what i did.
