Have any of the FWD people out there ever done this mod? One of the boots on my left CV-joint has torn and Satan wants to replace the whole shaft since it's cheaper (according to the aformentioned daemon) than replacing just the boot. So I thought, since the shaft is getting replaced anyhow, why not do this upgrade and get rid of that nasty tourque steer at the same time. But does it work and does it last? I'd appreciate any comments you guys might have. Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave.

I did this mod a few years ago. My impressions at the time were that it does help with torque steer. It does NOT eliminate it however. I noticed an increase in wheel hop but I also increased power at the same time, so it is not necessarily the culprit there. I have gotten very used to it but I do remember being fairly happy with this mod after I had it done.
Hope this helps.
