Maybe a dumbass question here...

I have a 20G in need of a rebuild, and I was thinking of going with a Frank 2 or 3. I'm worried about the lag of the much larger turbo...

Has anyone experimented with a small shot of NOS say, right after the intercooler? I really know very little about NOS systems, but can a person jet it down to as low as a 20 shot, or is 50 the lowest a guy can go?

I'm jsut speculating here... I figure a 50 shot may be little much to use simply for a "turbo spooler" as such...

Also, getting a hold of a pressure switch that kicks out at say, 10 psi so when the NOS spins the turbo up, at 10 psi the turbo simply takes over? I'm sure the size of my intercooler and the large turbo would keep the intake air temperatures down, so I don't think it would be neccessary to keep it running... Then again, it's late, i'm tired, and I may be rambling...

Later all!

It sounds like a reasonable suggestion. If the jets for smaller shots are the same price and all, go for it. If they aren't, I wouldn't feel so bad about using the 50's. It's usually when insane amounts are used that the engines explode. (:

What are you going to be doing with the 20g? Trading it in?

I was going to use it as a core for the upgrade to the frank2 or 3...

Forced Perfomance quoted me 450 US to convert it to the frank2... havent asked about a frank3 yet...

Later all!
