Hey fellas, I got another question for all you experts out there.

I have an 93 Eagle Talon. AWD and I am exsperiencing a little noise problem.

The noise is actualy a vibration and it come in 2nd Gear, 3rd Gear and 4th.

When I upsift or Downshift and My RPM's fall below 2500, I get a vibration feeling in the car when I give it a little gas. Not lightly but enough to get the car moving. When I get over 2500 exactly the noise/vibration stops.

What could be the cause of this. Is there multiple reasons or something i might be able to fix myself.

The Clutch does seem a little hard to press, and the shifter is a little rough sometimes..
Any suggestions? Gime a ring on this kick ass board..

Peace
Jonathan Barbeau

Sounds like your balance shafts are out of phase, just like mine.. Have you just recently done a timing belt? if so, go get it fixed, or get the balance shafts removed. Marco is removing mine monday [Linked Image]

BTW Scott, are you comming to the meet with that guage plate thing? My timing belt really did go, and I need that thing bad so I can mount my boost guage, im running unknown amounts right now [Linked Image]

Why does everything cost " A THOUSAND DOLLARS? "

Ummm...
So I should have the balance shafts removed and you think that will take the vibration away..

Balance shafts do what now.. I should know what I am gettin into before I go do it.. or have it done.

Exactly what the name implies...It balances the rotation mass in your engine (The Crankshaft and a few other things.) You will still have vibration in your car if you remove them. How much is not known till you remove them. You should get the bottom end of the engine balanced by a professional machine shop before doing this or live with the vibrations.
