Just a note to anyone thinking of going for a cat-back exhaust. I went to my local Carline Muffler shop and had them put on a 2.75" cat back and a 2.5" Dynomax Ultraflo oval muffler all for about $425 (tax included). I went with the 2.75" because of the pipe being press bent instead of mandrel, so it flows just as good if not better then a 2.5" mandrel bent. Guy did a nice job of limiting bends and doing smooth bends. As for sound it is very similar to stock sound at lower speeds but more bass, when you get on the pedal it gets louder in the higher rpms but again more of a bass sound. Power comes on easier now and it is nice to have a more aggresive sound to go with it. Might be of some help to some people, I know trying to save enough to get a HKS or GReddy exhuast just wasn't going to happen.

I was thinking about doing this too, but I would like to get the 3" since the bends will be around 2.75". The only thing is not many places can bend 3" pipe. ------------------ 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD 13.98 @ 100.24mph Chirped Neutral.....oh wait that was my timing belt breaking. My Attempt at a website

Try calling around to the local shops. I think the CarLine guys can do 3", when I was talking to them originally I said I was going to go 3" or 2.5" and he had no problems. Even if you end up going with the 2.75" you should be happy, the guy did a really nice job with the bends (sometimes I just look under the car to admire the big pipe and pretty bends!!). Final note, I think the guy put on a 3" muffler instead of the 2.5, I was woried about it being too loud but it turned out to be fine and flows better. Good luck.
