A bit confused here guys.I just got a new stock o2 sensor.

If I get a 2 g 02 housing do I need a 2 g 02 sensor or are they the same or will the 1g sensor fit??

Same question now in regard to a evo o2 housing.
Will the 1g o2 sensor fit or do I have to buy a 2g 02 sensor or evo o2 sensor.??

Will my N1 downpipe bolt to a evo o2 housing without modification and if mods needed what are they. Will my n1 downpipe bolt directly to a 2g o2 housing.

Yes a 1G sensor will fit in a 2G or EVO O2 housing.

No mods needed to fit the N1 DP onto any of those O2 housings.

Isnt the 18 mm thread standard on most 02 sensors in cars today?

I thought the EVO o2 housing was at a different angle and required a special DP, I may be mistaken though.

The 18mm thread is standard on quite a few vehicles. It is also a spark plug thread.

The EVO O2 housing has the O2 sensor in the same location as the stock 1G O2 housing. The flange for the downpipe does have a different angle though. Also, it will fit under the stock heat shield.

Yep. Most sites that sell the EVO housing say you might need to mod your downpipe to get it to fit.
