No, not quite up & running yet. I wasn't planning on swapping my exhaust mani as my SBR mani is only 2 years old (2 summers use) but when I took everything apart I found some nice cracks, about 7-8 all 2-3 inches long. Obviously wasn't too impressed about that as my whole reson for upgrading the 2g mani was because it had 1 or 2 crackes internally maybe .5" long & the SBR sounded like a nice upgade & was supposed to be superior in the not cracking department, obviously not the case. So I'm just waiting on my evoIII mani from Ziggy (should have it today) & my mani to head stud/bolt kit from the local Mitsu which should have tomorrow. Probably get most of it swapped this weekend but have a couple other small things I'll be doing like swapping the rear brakes with Power Slot rotors & Hawk HPS pads, re-painting rear calipers etc. My plan is to have it up & running for May 1st, then I'll have some reviews on the new setup.

Pretty much you name it & it cracked there bitch It's not their newest design with the cast WG mount, its the design before that but I believe they were cast from the same material. I know their very first batch of like 20 were supposed to have issues but this was bought well after those came out so... I was going to take some pics but from the top there are 2 cracks one in the center of the collector about 2" long & one starting in the collector area & then down a runner, about 3" long. From the bottom there's a nice big one through the divider in the collector & the crack on the top runner looks to go all the way through. There's also a couple more in random areas around the collector on the bottom. This mani wasn't ported by me at all, it was installed the way I received it & I didn't order it with any porting.

Yikes. Mine's the new casting (with the WG mount). It's pretty heavily ported. I guess I'll cross my fingers and keep my eyes on it!

My SBR Exhaust Manifold is the older styler without the wastegate and I don't have any problems with cracking. I do know somewhere with the newer style and it has cracked already.

I can't believe I actually paid $50us to get my manifold polished, Mike Degli must be rubbing off on me, LOL This is the first time in years I'm actually concerned with how things look, normally its only about how they function. I polished up my fuel rail, going to finish off the turbo (both compressor and turbine), throttle body (can't have that dirty & dull POS touching my sweet SMIM), and water pipe.

Notice how my turbo's flanged for a 40mm Tial wastegate? Its all about who you know naughty . I didn't want to have to go out and buy a new v-band wastegate. Can you tell I'm a cheap DSMer bird

I've done a little porting to my 2G manifold. I told myself the next mani I buy will be T4, so this is going to have to do for the time being.

You'd have to break into the Raf's garage, and its being guarded by 100 pugs. Those bulgy-eyed buggers will tear you apart!!!

Think you have an aftermarket rad & fans? I know its tight as hell with the 3052 & the stock rad & fans. Have about .5" clearance on both the turbine/WG dump & comp cover sides. Don't think the 3065 comp cover would squeeze in there with any room to spare.

Wow quite a few more FP cars on the board now. I have 4000 miles on my 2.4/ FP3065 setup. No complaints. And no 450s are not big enough!! Good one Paul!
And I also have those fal 2g kit.they work ok and have ok clearance but they sure were not plug and play!
And they didn't fit worth a crap.

Agree^^ nothing is plug and play. I remember when I bought the fans few years ago I was told that it just bolts up and plugs in HA. couple hours latter. Thats what I thought might have to go with evo 510injectors.

Well I was able to take the car for a small test drive tonight, still don't have everything finished up yet but enough to drive. First impression was love the sound of the ball bearing center section. The evoIII sorta sounded like a vacuum cleaner sucking while the 3052 sounds more like that big rig sound we all love naughty I was just running off the WG so boost was only 10-11 psi but for that amount I'd say I was fairly impressed, I know the evoIII didn't even pull that well at that low of a boost level & being a larger turbo, I wasn't expecting much at that level but it pulled nicely. I was seeing a constant 28 lb/min @ 7000 rpms with a fairly high inlet temp compared to the outside temps as I haven't put the heatshield back on. I was seeing full spool right around 4000 rpms but so far I like the way boost comes on better. It doesn't seem to hit as hard initially as the evoIII but its stays constant all the way to redline while the evoIII would drop off abit. Though when I start running my planned boost, the hit might be abit different. I do like how it doesn't seem like such an on/off pull of the evoIII in the 3000-4000 range. So I'm thinking I'll be right around the planned goal of 40 lb/min with the planned 22 psi that I'll be running next week. I can say one thing for sure, external dumps defently aren't for me. I'm sure adding an extension that I just clamped on, to get it to dump below the car defently doesn't help but IMO it sounds like complete crap. Its pretty loud which I don't mind but the sound is horrible. I would much rater here the turbo at full spool & my nice N1 exhaust over that any day. I will be getting the external recirculated back into the downpipe at a custom exhaust shop in the near future. I attached a couple pics of it so far, I tried to keep it as stock or sleeper looking as possible.

Nice Darren. Looks like you have quite the funfilled summer ahead of you. The 3052 is my next upgrade. I am looking forward to seeing what you post when you are running 22psi.

I really miss the hard hitting action of the 16G. When I went to the GT30, I was slower in the 1/8th mile but did pick up quite a bit on the top end. Come to think of it, my quickest 1/8th mile runs were with the JDM ECU, 510's and Big16G with stock intercooler. I am hoping all that changes this year. pimp

Well I got to do a short test today while turning the boost up abit. I currently have it set at 19-20 psi, am seeing 37 lb/min & full spool right around 4100rpms. I ran my evoIII up to 22psi & let me say it never pulled like this thing. Its completely untuned but 3rd now basically feels like how second use too. The initial boost hit is still much more linear compared to the evoIII which I really like but where the evoIII starts to drop off around 6500, this thing pulls hard to the 7500 redline. So far I'm really happy with it. I start driving it this week daily so I'll have more time to play around & up that boost abit more, will keep the details coming. So hows everyone elses setups coming?

I too had a short drive in my car today. As a reminder the Turbo is a non BB 35R.

20psi is right at 4300 in 3rd and I saw 45lbs/min at 7k rpm's, although I think that may be slightly inflated by a small boost leak.

Once I get it Leak Tested I will start some real tuning.

Was able to find some empty highway on the way home last night, starting to tweek the tune abit. Still set at 20psi seeing 38-39 lb/min, think the inlet temps were around 55 F or so. Its a nice bump from the 33 lb/min I was seeing with the evoIII.
