I heard a rumour that only the turbo boys have knock sensors. Is this true? If so, has anyone played with advanced timing?

I know for sure the NT's dont have an knock sensor, but I've never tried to advance the timing... Give it a shot, post the results

I've advence the timing to 10 deg BTDC with good results. Last week I tried to go up to 12 but did not have the time to realy tell if that extra 2 deg made a difference.
Give it a try and give me your impressions as I'd like to hear from somebody else.

Forgot to say; I have never heard knock with either 10 or 12 deg BTDC... I use good stuff (gas) with that much advence though...
