Hey Man.
I know were you've been Dude...
I ended up drilling the studs out. Start by making a pilot hole using a smaller one and use some lube every once in a while. That will help to prevent you from burning the hell out of the bits.
BTW Crappy has a set of 29 Cobalt bits for $40, normally on for $80. That would be the best. High speed steel or even Titanium (Coated that would be) are good if properly used but the Cobalt kick a$$.
For the o2; I don't want to piss you off but mine came off without a swet... Just put a regular opend end wrench on it and that was it. Put it this way I was very surprise...
Don't remember what kind of Headers you bought???
Keep us in touch.

Hey Kevin, I also installed the pacesetter's about 2 months ago now and I really love 'em. I heard horror stories about stuck bolts so I braught a can of liquid wrench to work. I ran out to the parking lot every hour and sprayed every nut and bolt that I could find! It worked wonderfully and I had no problems with any of them! The only problem I had installing the headers was the O2 sensor socket. The threads were damaged. I went to Canadian Tire and got a spark plug chaser/threader. Fortunately the threads were exactly the same as a spark plug's. Other than that, mine WERE a direct bolt-on. No complaints from here! ------------------ Eric " No Spleen" Svilans '90 Laser @ 141.7 dB

Did you guys get these headers(Pacesetters.. right?) from Canadian Tire or something? What's the price range for these? Are we talking about the ceramic coated ones that are black or the chrome ones? Also I was wondering if anyone had done a Pacesetter cat-back exhaust system and if they know the price range for them as well?

I got my pacesetter headers from UAP for around $300 including taxes. You can get them from Canadian Tire just as easily. They both order from the same Keystone catalog.
I wanted to get the ceramic coated ones (a $100 upcharge) but the wait for those is 8 weeks. I settled for the plain metal ones. They are painted black just for shipping. This paint burns off after a few minutes of driving. I didn't want to remove them again so I masked off everything and re-painted with VHT flameproof silver paint while still in the car. This looks nice and protects a bit.
I want to remove them soon, get them sandblasted, and then paint them properly. (or get them ceramic coated... I think someplace near Kitchener does it)

Took the day off from work yesterday and finished my header install. Its finally all done and looks pretty good. Might put the car back on the stands tonight just to check out if everything is ok. All I know is I had to do alot of work to mine to make it fit properly.
I did manage to get the old o2 sensor out, but just to piss me off, right after I pulled it out purolator shows up with my new one.
Here is some of the stuff I hade to do to make everything work. -Rework the head including o2 sensor socket, clean up the openings, enlarge the left and right mount holes and strip and paint it. -Ground strap post was a little damaged but managed to fix it. -Had to remove the power steering pump to get to the last both on the header. -Had to cut the bolt heads the held the flex pipe to the cat, then drill out the holes (now that was a PITA) -Had to cut the spring that came with the kit to make them fit. -Had to cut a notch in the A/C fan housing so that the wires from the o2 sensore would fit properly and not get cut.
All and all not to bad of an upgrade/fix. Not sure how I like it yet. I just feel that since I got my A/C repaired the car is a little sluggish even when the A/C is not on.
Oh well I'll drive it for a bit and see how its feels.

I got this Pace Setter Headers for $230Can at a local shop here in Trenton. I guess they had a sale this spring. Might be good to ask around if anybody expect a sale on these products. BTW Crappy sells them for $250 I think. Don't know about the Cat Back.

Yeah I went down to Crappy Tire today and checked it out for a Kat-Back exhaust system with no luck but I did come across the Pacesetter header and the guy at the desk pulled out the price and it was $197 so I think I might buy it next time I come across an extra $200 bucks. But my question is... is there a noticeable increase in power after it gets installed? also I have no access to a garage and have very little mechanical know-how so I think I get Crappy to install it... do you guys think thats a good idea? I'm still looking for a Pacesetter exhaust system I saw the system on www.nopi.com for like $130 US but I don't want to order it through them because of all the crap it takes to get stuff from the States so I think I'll still look around 'cause it still want a kat-back system..

What ever you do don't have Crappy to put the Headers on. Some work is involved before you put it on. Ask somebody or take the time and do it yourself. We can give you some help if you have any question.
For the power increase don't expect much. The main reason I put it on was that I neded to replace the down pipe and the exhaust manifold was like swiss cheese... Maybe an extra 5 to 10HP, if any it moved the good power up a little.
Still don't regret it.

Hello.
Yes the pipe in 2 1/2". It's done to connect to a larger cat and catback. As a matter of fact Pace Setter catback is 2 1/2".
The paint did turned gray and it should take a week or two before you stop smeling it...
For the noise; Ain't it greath???

Hello Ya'll!!!
Was at the track last Monday. Tim, Tom and I showed up, we had a blast.
Then I blew a gasket. No I did not lose it. I mean the header to colector pipe gasket kicked the bucket. Anyhow I ordered an OE from Crappy, just wanted to see if it would fit. You guessed it right, nope. I did buy some gasket material pn; 92-5000-0 they sell it by the inch... ($1.49) Made with asbestos and aluminium. Should last a little longer I hope, if not I'll try to find some 1/16" copper plate...
Anyway, I made a new one, put in on and went for a cruse with no more rumble. Ahhh!!!
See the differences between the OE and the "Now Dead" Pace Setter. Hope ya all enjoy!!!

Hello Keith. These are 1G. I guess your 2G NT has a totally differend power plant than the 4G63 our ride sports. You could ask that specific question on this Neon site since your engine also power those Sled. http://www.neons.org/ Keep us in touch with your mods as we might all learn for this. Here is (From the same site) an example of the info you will find on this site; http://www.neons.org/faq/FAQ_ET.html#DOHC BTW; What is the designation of your engine??? Hope this helps. My bad guys im sorry i thought the exhaust header came only by itself didnt realize it had the down pipe and all connecting to the cat. So right now the whole thing is getting JetCoated which is the same as a chrome but in ceramic. Got it done for 125.00 with blasting and all if anyone ever needs anything powdercoated or ceramic coated let me know killer deals down here in Niagara Falls.
