hey whats up

I was wondering how much horses a header adds to a 97 ESI? I was just wondering if they were worth it since I was thinking about adding headers and a new cat and cat-back.

Depends on which header you get. I changed mine on my 1G and noticed a little difference in the top end, but feel like I lost a little of the bottom end. You do get what you pay for when it comes to headers. I got a pacesetter for mine and there was a lot of work to do to it before the install.

I second Kevin.

Bought the Pace Setters and made the same observations.

Again it is true that you pay for what you get but I don't totaly regret the Pace Setters after all. Yes I had some work to do before it could be bolted on. "Most" headers require a little work before they can be slapped on. Even the $700 US...

Some headers maker clams massive HP gain and yes it can be true. Most of these high HP gain are acheved with other mods. A headers "Allows" you to take full advantage of other mods by removing some restriction and helping in obtaining good scavenge. Only slight HP gain will be observed in the upper range of RPM were some will be lost at lower RPM. It shifted the go go juice up the scale... That is what you wanted anyway.

Ghislain.

I got the pace setter header as well, and i like it. I also went with the monza exhaust cat back system. After it rattled for 2 mo, I had to pay for it to be re-worked. So Please do not buy it, that is if you dont want the brain pain.
